While many might have been upset at being left Stella was not one of those people. She had a terrible experience on her last such foray. Being stuck in a camp full of dirty

miners was not her idea of fun. She much preferred staying here at her comms station. While she would eagerly accept any order or request of her, she loved her job.

With the senior officers and away team departed, the bridge settled into a quieter rhythm. The tension of anticipation gave way to disciplined vigilance as those remaining turned their attention toward supporting the mission from orbit.

At the Operations console, Ensign Daniel Corwin brought up a dedicated tactical overlay of Vey’lan. Multiple telemetry windows tracked the away team’s combadge signals, environmental conditions, and biosigns, each represented by a steadily moving icon as they advanced deeper into the city.

His fingers moved confidently across the LCARS interface.

“Away team telemetry is solid,” he reported. “I’m maintaining continuous lock on all communicators. Biosigns are stable across the board, and we’ve established a predictive movement map based on their current heading.”

Another display updated with a series of green status indicators.

“I’m also recording localized environmental data from their commbadge telemetry. If they encounter any changes in atmospheric composition, radiation levels, or unusual energy signatures, we’ll see it here almost immediately.”

Corwin glanced toward Lieutenant Gagnon’s communications station.

“Lieutenant, I’ve routed the away team’s telemetry feed through your console as well. Any fluctuation in communications signal strength or subspace interference should correlate directly with my tracking data.”

On the main viewscreen, a rotating three-dimensional projection of Vey’lan continued to update as sensor information was refined. A series of pulsing markers traced the landing party’s progress through the city, while the Merrimack’s orbital sensors quietly searched for any changes in the surrounding environment.

For the moment, everything remained calm.

The bridge’s job now was simple: Watch, record and be ready.

Stella smiled and nodded her head at Corwin as the data came up on one of her screens. ” Yes, let’s just hope that our friends continue to let the signals to continue.

Stella then pressed a few buttons and smiled. She said to Corwin. But for luck and those on the rest of the ship. She then played ship wide the Ride of the Valkyries.
