Background

Born in 2262 to a warrior-focused clan on Andoria, Thalos trained from a young age in Andorian martial traditions, ice-dueling, and bladed combat. At 18 he entered the Andorian Imperial Guard, serving nearly 15 years. He became a squad-level tactical leader and earned the Ice-Blade of Valor commendation. A shuttle crash in 2289 killed most of his unit, shaping him deeply.

After completing his Guard service, he spent nearly a decade as a security advisor and combat instructor. Seeking to protect the wider Federation, he entered Starfleet Academy at age 36 through the prior-service tactical track.
