Kaden noticed a message blinking on his station when he sat back down after getting back from the Science lab. He opened the message and saw all the data inside the message about the upcoming mission. He knew he needed to share this with everyone and wanted to call everyone in. He wanted to prepare some engineering pads for everyone. He then hit is comm badge and said =/\=Chief Engineering Buchanan here, all engineering staff, please report to my office in engineering. I have some data to present to everyone about the upcoming mission.=/\=

He then waited for the engineering staff to show up in his office.

Only a few hours had passed since Waban had first met the head of engineering. Her furry head now covered in soot as she happened to be working on a manifolds which happened to be leaking plasma. She could only close her eyes and let the digits on her hand paw to do the job. Tracing over the line itself until the damaged source could be found. Though the junior grade’s hands were still shivering. A chirp emerged from her badge before Alba even bothered in paying attention to the words.

She was about to reach for a tool left discarded on the ground before someone approached. Though the shepherd’s mind was set on fighting against that ruptured area. A group of footsteps abandoning the area as they were muffled by sliding doors had reached her attention. Alba called out without an answer to received. “Not again…” those muttered words came out of her muzzle before she could stop them. Dusting off her uniform, she used vibrations beneath her feet and the sound of loud chattering down that hall leading towards the office.

Kaden noticed that Alba has shown up. He then said as Alba walked in, “Welcome Alba. Please, take a seat.” Kaden handed the Lt a PaDD what a ton of data related to the upcoming missing. He then said as he was sitting down himself, “Please look over the PaDD and see if you have any specific questions about the data. The PaDD contains data for the following items: Engineering Annex data, Power Systems Assessment, Structural Integrity Assessment, Warp Drive Assessment, Impulse Systems Assessment, Shield Interaction Assessment, Environmental Effects Brief, Transporter Systems Brief, Computer Systems Brief, Replicator Operations Brief. I believe the mission is very critical for everyone to understand these items due to the nature of what we are going into. Please let me know if you have any questions.” He then paused to see if Alba had any questions about what she was reading. He knew it would take her a while since she would have to listen to it and not just read over it.

The white individual extended her arm to reach the chair’s backrest in order to take a seat. Once Alba found herself facing Lt. Buchanan, a shallow breath escaped the junior officer’s maw. Once the PADD was left over the desk’s surface, she reached for it, feeling a smooth surface which the Canidin was all too familiar with. A Federation issued PADD just like every cadet had trained with at the academy. Only there was one problem… her lack of sight. Meaning a screenreader would be proven necessary to perform all tasks assigned to her accordingly. Yet, these sectors were much too different from space stations which Lt. JG. Waban was used to. Minutes went by as the device assessed each Jeffries tube. Deck by deck. The information appeared overwhelming when being heard over audio rather than read. Triangular ears flattening ever so slightly coming as a sudden reaction.

“Understood, Sir.” Even the words coming out from her mouth were raw, concerned that she wouldn’t be prepared to reach the same performance level as a crew that had been trained with the intention of keeping an exploration vessel running. Having spent her entire Ensign period as an engineering officer to Space Station 17. “These specs are certainly more complicated than the manual that had been previously sent to my last posting,” Alba admitted with an embarrassed laugh which almost resembled choking. The whole scenario had developed to be as expected, that awkwardness when meeting a senior officer capable of outranking a task with a single flick of their hand. She had never been court martialed before, yet the opportunity remained open for anyone who dared challenge the chief of department’s commands.
