Starfleet Intelligence has compiled the attached reference files for your review prior to USS Wolverine’s departure. The attached material represents the most current information available concerning your department’s expected responsibilities during Operation: False Colors.

T’Pris sat behind the desk in her office within the Science Department, the priority message from Starfleet Intelligence displayed across her terminal. Her eyes moved methodically down the list of attached files, one eyebrow rising fractionally at the breadth of material provided.

Eleven separate assessments. Starfleet Intelligence evidently anticipates that the Karthos Drift may present challenges extending considerably beyond routine sensor operations.

Rather than draw conclusions from the titles alone, T’Pris turned slightly toward the computer interface. “Computer, open the Departmental Intelligence Annex received from Starfleet Intelligence concerning Operation: False Colors.”

She waited for the packet to initialize before continuing. “Display the Karthos Drift Environmental Assessment first. Include all available information regarding local stellar phenomena, gravimetric conditions, radiation levels, navigational hazards, and any environmental factors capable of affecting scientific operations.”

T’Pris rested her hands lightly upon the desk. “Upon completion, proceed sequentially through the Long-Range Sensor Assessment and Tricorder Performance Assessment. Identify known causes of sensor degradation, estimated operational ranges, interference sources, and any recommended compensatory measures.”

Her eyebrow remained subtly elevated as she regarded the remaining files. “Then display the Environmental Hazard Assessment and Astrophysics Brief, followed by the Biology, Xenology, Chemistry, and Geology assessments. Include all available survey observations, known lifeforms, anomalous readings, previous sampling results, and unresolved scientific questions.”

She paused briefly. “Conclude with the Subspace Brief. Cross-reference its contents against the environmental and astrophysical assessments and identify any documented correlations between subspace phenomena and the anticipated degradation of Wolverine’s scientific instrumentation.”

T’Pris settled back slightly in her chair. “Begin, when ready, with the Karthos Drift Environmental Assessment.” Her gaze remained fixed upon the terminal as she awaited the requested information.
