Jackson looked at the empty table, it was time to get this mission going and he was not looking forward to it. Fleet was not disciplined emotional when they needed to focus. At least he had other marines on board that would understand.

=^= “Colonel Quade to Senior Staff, report to the briefing room” =^= he called over ship wide.

Dr. Elbbirt walked into the briefing room not long after the announcement. She really didn’t want to leave Dradvia alone in sickbay, but at least the child knew most everyone there. Though emotionally she wasn’t doing well at all. That had been difficult news to give. She took a seat at the table and waited.

The Andorian had heard word that a new colonel would be coming on board, so when the announcements hit and the beckon to the briefing room came, he was ready to go. Valoru went up to Deck 1 and entered the briefing room.

“Colonel, sir,” he said, snapping to attention to the fellow marine. When dismissed, he would find a seat at the table as well.

Colonel Quade returned the salute, “Take a seat lieutenant , doctor, the others should be her shortly” he said then took a seat himself sipping a black cup of coffee. “Help yourself to the replicator” he said over the rim of his cup.

Valoru did indeed grab an espresso with sugar and then went to the table. “Doctor,” he said as a short greeting with nod. He owed the medics a visit at some point, as well as psych eval - they were on the bottom of his list, if he was honest.

Kaden looked up from his work when he heard the new commanding officer over the comms. He was a little surprised by the rank announcement. He then hit his comm badge and said =/\=Lt Buchanan here. I am on my way.=/\= He then stood up and left Engineering.

After a few moments, he arrived at the ready room on Deck 1. The Wolverine was not the largest ship so it did not take long. He straightened his uniform and then proceeded to walk in. He look at the head of the table, assuming it was the Colonel and said, “Lt Buchanan, Chief Engineer, reporting as requested. The ship is in tip top shape and ready for whatever you throw at her.” He then waited for a response from the Colonel.
