David Morris

History: David Morris was born in a still-rural area of the great plains of North America on Earth in November 2371. He was brought up in an agricultural family who preferred to limit the use of modern technology, but the young Davey would slip away any chance he got to admire the shining Federation tech that was practically everywhere else. Up until his years at the Academy, he resented his rural upbringing, preferring the bright cities and starships, but he eventually came to appreciate the skills and personality traits it instilled in him, however unintentionally. Once he graduated from high school, he immediately applied for admission to Starfleet Academy, and started training as a medical cadet. One of his professors, Lt. Commander Adeline Larnin, noticed that the otherwise quiet cadet was prone to taking aside his peers who he noticed were struggling or having a hard time and helping them through whatever situation it was, and recommended he look into the counseling path. After his initial graduation as a medical officer, Ensign Morris stayed on Earth at the Academy and continued his studies in psychology and counseling, eventually earning the rank of Lt. Junior Grade and a posting as a ship’s counselor. David was posted to the Brazen-class USS Wolverine as its counselor and a part-time medic. Some time later, the ship’s CMO was reassigned and David was promoted to fill this role as well. He served in the combined position for quite a while, until he was unexpectedly promoted to Lieutenant Commander and assigned as the XO of the Wolverine.
Medical History: David is healthy for his age and species, and exhibits no signs of injury. He was injured a few times during his childhood, but medicine was one exception to his family’s preference for low-tech solutions, and those were all healed with no lasting effect.
Appearance: David is slender but fit, with a long face typically fixed in a warm smile. His skin is a slightly tanned pale tone, and he has bright green eyes and short, neat black hair.
