Mike made his way through the Star base and approached the docks. he gave the dock office his ID and after a small walk through the boarding tube he set foot aboard of the vessel.

the USS Chimera open up around him. Officers and jr officers passed by him going about their business and he thought to himself “ when was the last time they had a proper meal”

He walked to a console on the wall and told the computer “ I am a civilian who was able to join the crew or what am I supposed to do on this vessel first?”

MJ stopped when he heard somebody ask the computer about checking in. He was on his way to get some training on the CIWS, a defensive system that was not on his previous ship, but he was off shift and training on his personal time.

The broad shouldered Risian turned and saw a man standing in front of a console. “Escuse me… I’m Ensign MJ Shau, one of the Chimera’s Security Officers. I head you say you were checking in… do you need any assistance?”

MJ had a muscular build but was only average in height… an inch or so shorter than Mike. His hair was neatly trimmed with short curls on top and faded on the sides. He also has a stubbly beard.

He appreared human except for marking on his forehead that meant he was Risian.

OOC: For my own clarity, is Mike a civillian or Starfleet Crewman?

Mike looked at the young Ensign “dear god man what are you eating you need real nutrients and not the synthetic ones you get from a replicator. What is your favorite food? I will cook it for you when I get my kitchen opened” he said shaking the man’s hand

“I am Mike Isekai I am the must needed cook”

MJ cracked an honest smile at the man’s comments… he couldn’t help himself. “You sound like my mothers… they are always fussing at me to eat more.”

He shook his head at the thought… which also made him think of food from back on Risa. “My favorite dish is Curda… though you probabaly haven’t heard of it. Its made with fatty red meat and salted fish that is stuffed inside a gourd and then slow smoked.” It was a classic dish, but one that tourists didn’t order often.”

Ensign Shau tapped the console a few times. “Well… your cabin assignment is here… but I dont know where you’re supposed to work.” He turned back to Mike. “The Observation lounge serves 100, and the Crew Lounge and Mess each serve 500. The mess is a buffet style though… and I’m not sure where what kind of cook you are.”

Mike smiled “young man I have work as a cook on many plants even Risa I know the dish very well and I have a name for my self there have you heard about Isekai café” he said smiling “as for the cook I am I believe everyone has the right to eat and be healthy, and Stafford has known that the replicate protein from replicators are not a 100% thing so now the ships are getting cooks my staff will be here in a week” he finished pulling a small notepad from his pocket, writing down your name and what will you like to eat? “As soon as I get my kitchen set up come by for dinner you have a taste of home.” he finished already down the information and walked off to his new home.
