As the ship fired on the escaping shuttle, it was frankly old and not in the greatest condition. The Athena was forced to beam out the occupant before the essel’s warp core went critical.

The escapee was the leader of the settlement, Kezrick. When confronted with the betrayal of her co-conspirator, Azriah caves and reveals that the colony has been coerced into an attempt at the salve trade by the Ferengi. The captured vessels whose crews were not killed were sold off to the Gorn and Romulans.

The Athena transferred their two prisoners to back up vessels that arrived a day later to investigate and take over. Federation Security was brought into the mix.

Her own trauma triggered and with a deep need to see Silas to safety herself, Faye opted to accompany her fellow Intelligence Officer back to Earth where he was going to need long-term care at Starfleet Medical. It also provided Faye the opportunity to complete her Command training in person while she did some extra healing of her own.

Having completed their mission, the Athena returned to Starbse 157 for R&R and their next orders.
