An invitation went out the entire crew. There was a celebration about to happen and everyone was invited. Sara started up a program she’d been working on for a while. The holodeck filled with a cozy room. Festive decorations lined the walls, there was a faint scent of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a gentle background of holiday music created the ambience Sara had been hoping for. In the middle of the room was a table decked with food. There were, of course the human traditions, but also along the table were the culturally festive dishes of worlds all over the federation. Sara admired her handywork for a moment and then waited for guests to arrive.

Adrian had finished his shift in sickbay and entered his quarters to grab a sonic shower and change before the celebration feast that evening. The whole crew had been buzzing about it and he’d heard about various similar festivals from crew members of other alien species during the day in sickbay.
Vulcan itself did not have anything like this but he did have his human half so he supposed he could claim this one. His mother, T’Pris and he had never celebrated it as his mother was fully Vulcan. But he had spent a few visits with his father, Admiral Wolfeim, and had attended such events with him. Though his father did not celebrate it personally either. The only thing that really fascinated Adrian about the holiday was the music. And he had learned several of the beautiful, haunting Christmas carols to play on his lyre.
Adrian exited the sonic shower and headed over to his closet. Toggling it open he pondered his civilian clothing and chose an elegant Vulcan robe which was for formal occasions. It went over a dark tunic and pant set and was embroidered in scrollwork down both lapel sides to his feet. Lastly he slipped his black boots on his feet and toggled the closet closed before he exited his quarters and headed to the holodeck, lyre case in hand. Perhaps the crew might enjoy a few carols.
He entered the holodeck with a small group of crewmembers and paused for a moment as he studied the decorations. The lights were elegant as the twinkled through the holly boughs like stars, the Christmas tree was decorated just as beautifully. He did like all the greenery. The table in the middle was heaped high with a variety of foods.
He spotted the Captain who waited to greet the crew and headed over to her.
“Captain, I believe the human phrase is ‘Merry Christmas,” He said softly as he approached her and in Vulcan tradition in keeping with the formal occasion he raised his hand in the Vulcan salute. “And may you live long and prosper.”

“Merry Christmas, doctor. And also-” she raised her hand, returning the salute. “Peace, and long life. Please come in and partake of anything you wish.” Sara couldn’t help but hope that despite his Vulcan background, some part of Adrian would enjoy the party.

“Thank you, Captain. I brought my lyre in case anyone would wish some live music.” He hefted his case in indication before moving away and finding a chair to set it on before moving over to the food table. He poured himself an egg nog and picked up a plate, walking down the table, picking out food he could eat while studying some of the alien dishes with curiousity.

Varen Jorath stepped into the holodeck wearing slacks and nice black shoes, a white shirt with a black tie, his hair perfectly set for the occation. Covering most of the shirt and tie was a red green and white sweater with a reigndeer on it with a bright blinking nose. Various pieces of small crystals decordate the sweater as if they were sparkling snow flakes.

Looking around the room he was questioning his festive choice for clothing.
