Harry Archer

Biography

Henry “Harry” Archer, was raised in Manchester, England. His father was a science officer in Starfleet, and his mother was a physicist working on Federation research projects. In addition to his parents, he has an older brother who is a scientist focusing on environmental sustainability.

It was his parents interest in the sciences, and their inclusion of a young Harry in some of their, safer, research projects that sparked his curiosity. They also instilled in him a sense of ethical deliberation, getting the balance right between being ethical whilst achieving Federation outcomes. This has been the cornerstone of his professional life, consistently pushed the envelope on ethical discussions surrounding technological advancement. Believing in the important of exploring and expanding the Federation’s technical capabilities, he recognises that this must not come at the expense of ethical standards.

After completing his education at the Starfleet Academy with a focus on engineering, Harry’s first assignment on the USS Endeavour provided him the opportunity to apply his theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. His innovative solutions and willingness to tackle complex ethical questions marked him as a promising officer. His talents were further recognised with a subsequent transfer to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers at San Francisco, where he was instrumental in developing new technologies for the Federation.

Since Starfleet Corps of Engineers, he accepted assignment to the USS Asimov as their Chief Engineer.
