Ashley is the oldest of four Williams daughters, her father Frank Williams a distinguished Marine Colonel. Ashley followed the footsteps of generations of Williams clan joining the Academy as soon as she could.

Growing up Ashley was always a strong willed child, who carved her own path early on. Her father moved around a lot as she grew up, and when her mother died at 10 forced her to step up with her younger siblings. Despite having a somewhat shortened childhood due these responsibility, Ash holds a adventuresses spirit. Inspired by her fathers stories enlisted into the Academy at 18.

Ash has led a distinguished career since graduating, finding herself recently promoted and placed into second command of the 33rd Battalion aboard the Starbase Magellan.
