“Good think you are not one of my marines Lieutenant, I don’t know if I could live with so much whining.” Ashley said, teasing her as she walked over to the treadmills. “We can start here, be a good girl for me and I can get you all the coffee you may want doll. Just gotta see what kind of mileage I can get out of you.”

Avalise glanced sideways at Ashley as she stepped up on the treadmill. “You wouldn’t like me half as much if I was one of your Marines,” she commented before taking a couple gulps from her water bottle.

“I don’t know I can be quite fond of a lot of people.”

Setting up a program, she began to warm up with a brisk walking pace. “I have to warm up, Wouldn’t want to break me so soon.”

“Well that’s not a bad idea.” Ashley said coming over she monitored the station. It was clear she had already begun the workout herself. “So what do you do for exercise? I mean my routine can’t be that far off or am I out of touch with the rest of the forces of Starfleet?”

“Well, I run when I need to, and I get plenty of exercise just by moving through my ship or now, base, via the Jefferies tubes. You’d be surprised how much strength and endurance it takes climbing decks worth of ladders. Other than that, I prefer a more gentle form of exercise. There’s a stretching and core strength exercise called ki’ashsa from Hallii that I like. It’s a solo sort of thing, but often can be done in pairs too. Get a better stretch at times.” Avalise flashed Ashley a grin. “It’s how I’m so flexible.”

“So that’s what they call it then? Well you may have to teach me. You show me how to stretch and I can show you how to run an obstacle course with 80 kilo’s on your back as you go through a smoke maze.” Ashley said with a smirk as she thought about really what that would be like.
