Kelly smiled, “I’d enjoy that… working out alone is a bit repetitive. Though I hope you can still keep up,” she winked teasing. “Hate to think I hurt you because ‘Officer living’ has made you soft,” her eyes teased the woman as she held her glass for refill. “Though I can go slow if you prefer…” She laughed once more and her hand rested easily on Ash’s hand. She was easy to relax with. One of the few people Kelly didn’t feel a need to keep a shield up around. Though, if asked, she probably wouldn’t be able to say why.

“If you do it right you can find a rhythm for fast and slow…” she said as she looked over at her with a small smile . “Though I may not be thinking of working out just then, but still applies here.” she said as she looked down at Kelly’s hand on hers. She didn’t say anything but felt the smile grow a bit more. It felt nice yet she wasn’t sure what it could mean. Normally Ashley pursued hard but there was something nice in just being simple right now. Moving just slightly she had her thumb brush gently across Kelly’s. It was almost an instinctively simple gesture.

“I’ve always found myself having trouble with slow. I guess I’m a little impatient, sometimes…” Her hand lifted slightly, fingertips drawing small circles on her supervisors hand. She looked down at the two hands and then back up at Ash, her breathing getting a bit slower and shallow. “Ashley… I…”

Ash felt her heart skip a beat as as she watched, her lower lip being bit by her as she tried not to read to much until she heard the words almost trembling from her.

Kelly swallowed and stood up. Moving towards the large window that stared into space, she took a long draw and finished the three quarter full glass. “I think a quick paced spar would suit better for practice.” She realized her glass was full but remained staring out the window. “Slow rarely happens and rarely turns out the way we want.” It left her wondering, for a moment, if she was still referencing the would be work out they had brought up a moment ago.

“Fast can be good, if you want that… but I don’t want any regrets on if it gets too fast.” Ash said a small smirk on her face as she looked down at her drink as she drank a bit more before getting up.

“No, never any regrets…” Kelly half whispered.

“How much honesty do you want now Kelly?” Ashley pondered as she looked her up and down, with the top off and only the shirt underneath she couldn’t deny what her thoughts. Normally she might have not said anything, even giving an opening but she couldn’t deny Kelly did intrigue her. She was cute, and she saw so much in herself in the woman before her.

Moving closer to her she placed the glass down near the window and stood across from her, letting little in terms of space between the two.

Kelly kept her hands on the empty glass. Her knuckles and fingers rolling it between themselves because she didn’t know what else to do with them. As Ash moved up beside her, the Marine remained where she was. Her head only turning as the woman spoke to her. “I want honesty…” the words came out almost a choked plea and as she paused, it occured to her what had transpired… what was about to transpire.

Ashley would remember there was a brief time, perhaps a couple months ago, where Kelly had started to give her heart to someone only to have the pull of space become stronger than his desire for her. She had delved back into work head on and never let up. As if the lack of someone wanting her had been a deciding factor, somewhere inside, that Marine was all she would ever be.

“Well…” she said as she took the glass and put it aside before coming back to Kelly, her gaze focusing deeply on her. “I know from the first time I meet you… I have wanted to do this.” she said as she leaned in closer, putting her hand behind her head pulling her closer. It was a simple moment, primal even. She liked Kelly a lot, from the day she came in she had seen this strong woman that was cute as hell. Yet there was a softness to her as well, and that allure that draw had been something she tried to ignore.

Now, as she knew was her lips seemed like they needed to be on hers as she pressed hers against Kelly’s, letting herself feel every moment as her body tingled and butterflies fly through her stomach. The more she kissed the harder her mind began to melt, it didn’t matter about anything right now expect the woman in front of her.

Kelly had let the glass go, but ended up with her hands simply hanging at her side as if she had no idea what to do with them. As the CO came up to her, voice dropping slightly, Kelly held her breath. The hand in her hair and lips on her own left her shocked at first, but then a soft moan of surrender fell and her hands rose to rest against Ashley. At first they merely rested on the woman’s biceps as if to brace herself. But as the kiss deepened, so did her grip till she was pulling the woman to her and the soft whimper became a light growl.

But then she broke the kiss, her own flushed face and panting breath letting Ash know it hadn’t been unwelcomed. “Ash… if we do this… no regrets… no promises… no lies…” Her words were soft but the look was eager. She needed this, Ashley wanted it. But that’s all it was. She wanted to make it clear it wasn’t more than that… a night together between two people who wanted it.

“It’s certainly the plan.” Ashley said, her voice sultry as she let her hands lower as she went back and kissed her deeper. It was what they needed now, she knew it and this wasn’t anything they didn’t deserve right now.
