Situated behind a large desk, aihia found herself reviewing a PaDD, determining who had come to the ship and who had left it. She tried to make certain she knew each exchange between the Dauntless and other vessels. However, it was not uncommon for this to be handled by a personnel officer, which occasionally did not get to her, until she needed the person, only to find they had been reassigned to a new ship. This was rather irritating, but she had accepted it, within her time as the Captain of this ship.

Catching sight of a familiar face, she rose an eyebrow, but chose not to say anything aloud. Pressing her hand to the comm system, “Aihia to Lieutenant Wiseman, please report to my office. As soon as possible.”

OOC: if this is about my snarky in character comment, i appologize. So does STF me.

OOC: Nope! This is just a generalized conversation. No ill will.

IC: Matt was in Engineering at the time, so he acknowledged the captain’s messag, and took the turbolift to the bridge. Once there he walked briskly to the CO’s office and range the bell.

Lt Wiseman, ACE

“Come in!” Called an oddly baritone voice for a woman. Resting behind those doors was the lean, wiry creature who had now been in command for several months, as of yet. She situated herself behind a rather rudimentary desk, though the PaDDs upon it held information that was anything but.. simple. With her ankles crossed and her head bent, hair pulled back into a neat bun, it appeared she was reading something. That was, until she had become aware of the Enginneer.

“Wiseman!” A smile, of sorts. “Please, come have a seat.”

“Thank you, ma’am,” said the lt as he took a seat.

OOC: if the CO takes offense to the use of ma’am:

IC: “I was raised to say, ‘yes, ma’am’. It is a hard habit to break.”

OOC: Been a hectic few weeks, sorry for the delay… Also i will be on pLOA next week as I will be at WDW (If you have to ask about the accronym you’ll never understand).

OOC: Walt Disney World? That’s the only place I can come up with. Lol!

“Ah, I see..” the woman gave a nod of her head, considering his explanation for the use of the phrase. She was never one for ‘ma’am’ or ‘sir,’ but was rather uncertain as to why. It must have had something to do with the feel and history of the term.

“When did you transfer to the Dauntless?” She asked, smiling in the slightest of ways.

OOC: This character was never on the dauntless. I was as myself when the ship first started. In the first sim we were real life people stuck in the stf universe. Eventually we were returned, and the original crew was restored to the ship. I am sorry if that was not made clear. In that light, I will let you edit your character’s comments before I respond to them.

“Actually, I need to ask you something about that…” Matt replied. “I want to stay, don’t get me wrong. I think my presence will positively affect the performance of the crew by shifting departmental focus from worry about failure to creating successes. The problem is I need the support of Commander Si’rek to do that. I went to introduce myself to the Commander just now, and we didn’t exactly get along so well. It seems we go about command differently. During the meeting, I may have criticized his technique of yelling at his suboordinates. Suffice it to say, I don’t know how exactly to make ammends.”
