<Snip>The Dobutamine worked as intended, quickly preventing the spread of the shock and stimulating the patient’s heart rate. His strengthened lifesigns continued as the Imipenem-cilastatin worked to cure the underlying blood infection, and within a few minutes of Odraavi’s aggressive treatment the patient was out of the red! Dermal regeneration was a slow work due to the extensive nature of the burns, but while regenerating tissue over his shoulder the doctor would notice another issue - as skin growth was rapidly promoted with energy from the device, the new skin was several shades darker in green colour than the rest of his skin. Skin lightening was a common symptom of allergic reaction in Orions - as minor a concern as allergies were given the septic shock, it appeared that there was an underlying, low-level allergic reaction to something making his condition worse.

Odraavi released the breath that she had not realized she had been holding. After a few more minutes of continuing with the dermal regeneration, she noticed the discoloration of the man’s skin. Raising an eyebrow, she took a second to recognize it as the allergic reaction within an Orion body. Stopping the regenerative process, she knew that she had to figure out what the allergen was, so that she didn’t kill the patient while attempting to first heal heal him. She quickly retrieved the medical tricorder, which she luckily hadn’t (entirely) misplaced in the madness which had only method to the yount Doctor. Silently, she ran a scan, searching for the cause of the reaction.
Odraavi
CMOOdraavi’s tricorder scan revealed the likely source of the allergen in his digestive tract, his immune system was responding to a good deal of insect material he was having trouble digesting.

“What in the world..” Nisihe would be lying if she were to say she wasn’t surprised by the source of the allergic reaction being food.. Nevertheless, insect material. Without having many options for vaccines against allergic reactions, she chose to give him a hypo of the common Epinephrine, in attempt to reverse the allergic reaction. Knowing that most probiotic injections were fairly ineffective, she made note to have him take a pillform of one, once he was conscious and able to swallow properly.
Odraavi
CMOAfter receiving the medication the Orion’s immune system calmed down its reaction over the period of the next hour, and finally allowed full dermal regeneration to occur after the antibiotic treatment cured his infection. While tired and exhausted, the man would make a full recovery! It was another few hours before he was conscious and awake enough to speak. His eyes were wide open with a look of suspicion at first, but, then the man looked down at his arm and found himself healed - he was feeling orders of magnitude better than he had when he’d lost consciousness on the refugee ship. His eyes found Odraavi and he finally spoke - “Thank you.”

Odraavi had been standing beside the bed, when he had first regained consciousness. She was typing away at a PaDD, in order to note upon the procedures for this patient and what had already been done. Half for files, half to reference in case of need for further treatment. Upon hearing a voice, Nisihe rose her eyebrows, turning back towards the bed. “You’re awake,” She offered a smile towards the man. She did not respond to his gratitude with much more than a nod of acknowledgement and appreciation towards it. “How are you feeling at the moment, sir?”

Trinity”… Well,” he said, with a tone of surprise. He looked at his arm in amazement, for the first time in weeks he wasn’t in pain and didn’t have burning sensations coursing through his body. Even before the burns he’d had symptoms, but, all of them were gone now with the allergens removed from his system! “… I am starving, though! Did my ship’s cargo make it over?” he asked. “I have several more rations of our food stores. I feel like I haven’t eaten in days,” he said, and it was true, he hadn’t! As much as he wanted to eat from his own ship’s supply, he was hungry enough that anything would do. “… Or… do you have any rations?” he asked.
The Orion patient had made a full recovery with no signs of further complications.

A smile etched itself across the pad of Nisihe’s face, there was no denying the both literal and metaphorical win of this man’s evident recovery. Pleased to know that he appeared in far less pain and misery, than only hours before, shs recorded such and set the PaDD aside. “I cannot say whether or not there are any, but I doubt there is.” Odraavi remarked, “What would you like to eat.. I do apologize, but what is your name?” She asked two questions at once, hoping she did not completely perplex her patient. Silently, she waited for a response from the Orion.
