Teek watched the tri and smiled. More than one tryst had begun in her establishment… and more than one would be made after tonight, she was sure. If the pair chose to leave, she had just the bottle for them. And she was hoped Harris would stay and finish his cake with her however it unfolded.

Brax had a reassuring look about him “don’t worry Teek I’ll stay a bit longer and finish my delicious cake.”

Harris

The new COO’s attention was drawn back to the other two people and she smiled at Braxton. “I’m Avalise Redana, the new Chief of Operations here. As Teek’ma put it, I don’t bite, so you are allowed to say hi to me,” she said with a wink before taking another bite of cake.

“You don’t bite? Half my plans ruined.” Ash said as she smirked as she them smiled at Harris. “My name’s Ashley Williams, Marine Commander. Pleasure to meet you too.” she said, her voice always seeming to be sultry even if she never intended. “So, how is the cake?”

Willians, Marine CO

Braxton nearly choked on his bite of cake. He took a few sips of water to wash it down. “Nice to meet you.” As he looked at the COO. Brax looked at the Marine “Commander nice to meet you”

Harris

Avalise tried to contain her smirk, but it came out lopsided. “Cake is good. I’d take some to go if there was more,” she said with a wink directed at Teek’ma. “Unless that’s frowned upon around here. But sometimes you just don’t want to order your dessert from the replicator.”

Ash found herself biting her lip as she let a thought filter into her mind. She didn’t know everyone nearly enough to say it, but was clear how she looked at the cake them to Avalise what she might be thinking. “Cake does indeed sound yummy, can we start cake parties? All different flavors? Have you ever had better than sex cake Avalise? I used to love that when my mom made it growing up. Granted she never would call it that… she would have blushed to say it by the name. All the same, I do love it.”

Williams, Marine CO

Teek sat, sipping her drink, and listening to them banter. The conversation turned, as most did, to innuendoes and suggestive comments. It was nice to see that perhaps another tryst or two would come of her small gathering this evening. “Of course there is ‘cake to go’.” She laughed and shook her head at the suggestions. “I am not sure about the cake you speak of, Williams. But if you get the recipe, I am sure the cook can make a good go at it. And as to ‘cake parties’.. I will give it some thought. Though there is always a cake or tart or two available, I am not sure a cake party has ever been had.”

She like the idea, though, and made a mental note to speak to the Commander and see about a coming holiday that may make for a good time for such a thing.

“I grew up on vega, but never heard of that particular cake,” Avalise said, gazing at Ashley for a long moment. “But, as a said, I like cake.” She looked at Teek’ma. “You know, I think I might take a piece of this to go now, if that’s not being rude. I probably should get going anyway.” She had indulged her curiosity in the place and it had turned out to be more interesting than she had anticipated.

Ashley leaned back looking at Avalise then back at Teek. “Cake to go it is I guess. Our lovely Lieutenant here isn’t wrong, it does feel awfully late.” she said in a soft tone as her eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked at her. Ash wasn’t one to really chase but part of her just didn’t want to stop getting to know the knew woman, yet she didn’t know what that truly entailed. Part of her truly just felt like getting to know her better, which somehow felt more dangerous than any other thoughts she might have had.

“Plus, there is still a bottle of something on the line I think… if you are open for that Avalise.” Ash left it vague as she spoke, she wasn’t going to push but she knew she would regret not seeing where it might lead all the same.

Williams, Marine CO

Rendana gave Ashley an lopsided grin. “Well, as long as I make it to my shift on time tomorrow, all is good.”

The COO looked at Harris. “It was nice meeting you. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around.” She assumed that but it was a big base, so who knew.

Teek smiled as the small group prepared to go. “Cake to go, it is.” She laughed and stepped in back to get some containers and utensil packets.

Coming back out she gave each container a generous slice and handed them each one. “There ya go. And there, if ya wanna do this again some not, just come on by. Now I’m not saying to tell everyone now,” she laughed. ” But if I’m closed just hit the com and I’ll come down for ya. Now,” she rose up and waved her hands to shoo them off. “Off to bed with the lot of ya.”

She laughed once more as they reacted. It was nice to stay open a bit later when the company was worth it. And if she had to guess, some new friendships were being made as well.
