Hello everyone,

We currently have two Department Head positions open aboard the USS Wolverine:

Chief Security Officer / Tactical Officer
Chief Medical Officer

Whenever possible, I prefer to promote from within the ship, especially from within the department itself. Since our current medical staff member is unable to take the Chief Medical Officer position, I will be opening that position to the entire club immediately.

I will hold the Chief Security Officer position until Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to give our current Security officers the opportunity to be considered before opening it to the rest of the club.

To be considered, you should have completed the Department Head Academy exam and provide either:

One recommendation from a CO, XO, DH, or GM, or
Two recommendations from members of that same group.

Department Head Expectations

Remain active and post within the club’s AWOL policy.
- Write with your junior officers and help keep your department involved.
- Delegate. Your job is to assign work, guide your department, and give your junior officers opportunities to shine. They should be solving problems, not just watching you solve them.
- Mentor your junior officers whenever they need help or guidance.
- Reach out to new officers, especially new club members, when they join your department and help them get settled.
