Greng had left the USS Ajax about 5 hours ago and was already restless being cramped in the runabout. The runabout Apollo was cruising at Warp 3 and was headed in the general direction of the USS Wolverines last known position. Greng was handed a mission brief that only said, ‘Find the USS Wolverine and ascertain the crew and ships condition. These instructions didn’t divulge the mission the Wolverine was on, just find it and report.

Greng sat back down in the helmsman’s seat and said, =^=Computer =^= and waited a moment for the computer to respond. After a moment, Greng started dictating his log. =^=Stardate, 2401.3.28, person log. Have been on this course for five hours with no sign of the USS Wolverine. I do not know what to expect when I find her, but my blood is surging hoping for glorious battle=^=. With that, Greng insured the sensors were set to maximum range then sat back in his chair and waited.

The sensors showed a warp trail, not very old, heading in the direction of the Melania system. It was a small system, little used or taken note of by the Federation.

GM Budgie

Greng saw what the sensors showed and adjusted his heading to correspond with the readings and continued at Warp factor 3.

Greng pulled out his Bath’leth and started sharpening it while he thought about what he would find in the Melania system.

The runabout continued on its leisurely course following the warp trail. After some time, Greng would probably come to the conclusion that he would probably have to increase speed if he were to catch up to the Wolverine.

GM Budgie

Greng knew he needed to move faster and increased speed to Warp 5.0, the max sustainable rate in the Fulcrum Class Runabout he was piloting.
