In another few days, the specialist arrived on board for Sisnil’s surgery. The first thing he did was check in with Tessan. Then he wanted to see his patient.

Dradvia was ordered to page Zoi to sickbay for Cmdr Elbbirt. He’d grilled her thoroughly about what had happened and why he had chosen this options, and gone over everything that was in Sisnil’s file. =/\=Dradvia to Zoi. Report to sickbay.=/\=

Sisnil arrived a short while later. He wasn’t using a support frame anymore, but he was struggling with being blind. Simon was with him, on his shoulder. “What’s up, Dee?”

Dradvia smiled. She was happy to see him, but the joy was edged with timidity. There was also excitement tempered by worry.

Before she could say anything a human man, older with an air of absolute confidence approached him. “I am Cmdr. Elbbirt Mr. Zoi. I’m here to give you new eyes.” He paused. “The cat has to go. Please give it to En. Dradvia, and we will talk before we get started.”

Sisnil smiled as he sensed Dee. There was another, unfamiliar presence. He gave Simon to Dee and turned towards Elbbirt. Dee could tell he was nervous, but he was hiding it well. He always did. “What is there to talk about?”

Dradvia thought hard at Sisnil. She would take Simon to his quarters and be right back.

Elbbirt looked ar him curiously, “I assumed you had questions. How the proceedure is done, success rate, rehab, etc.”
