Darae had heard the news after the emergency cabinet meeting let out, but it was one of those things that you simply held on to unless told otherwise. But a short while ago, the Governor has told them to go ahead with a press conference. It was time to let Oed know about Dashiel Jones. Darae blew out a breath as she finished jotting down a few notes, just so she wasn’t going entirely off the cuff, but there was little information to be had at this time. At least from her end.

She reached out to the Police Commissioner and gave him the info about the press conference, inviting him to conduct it with her if he felt he could be of assistance. He was likely busy with it all, but right now his department had the most information and could probably answer more questions than she could.

Shortly before the appointed time, people began gathering in the Press Room. On the 18th Floor, it was on the same level as Media Relations, where reporters could go to get authenticated to be credentialed press on Oed. While anyone could ‘report’ on Oed, credentials got you into places like the Government Tower’s Press Room for any and all official press conferences.

A notification that a press conference had been scheduled went out an hour ago to all credentialed members of the Oed’s Press. An assistant stepped into the room to make sure the podium and mics were ready.
