PRSIM- The Mystery of Dash Jones: The Evidence (DO NOT REPLY)
This is where I’ll collate all the evidence characters gather. Please do not reply to this post so I can keep editing it! As we go along and different characters learn stuff, we’ll put it here and note who will know this information. Some will be public, some only to those involved in the investigation, others will hold info that only they or select few others know and it may or may not be important. Together we’ll put together the clues and try to solve this mystery.

Her and her spouse reached out to Lieutenant Governor Dasca (who is publicly known to be dating Jones) to see if she knew where he was. Dasca told them he had left her place after 0200. |
| Jones’ Apt | Ensign Tate was on duty running security for Jones’ building and noted that Jones arrived back around 0230. |
| Jones’ Apt | CSI team gathers all potential evidence and takes images and scans of the scene. Aside from the Flaxian tendril, there were no other DNA or fingerprints present. Jones’ computer screen was smashed, but the rest was still intact and the device was removed for analysis along with several PADDs. |
| Elsewhere | At 0900 hours, an alert went directly to the Chief of Security. It was very simple: an unknown toxin was flagged during the autopsy of Dashiel Jones and triggered an alert to Starfleet Security as well as the Colonial Intelligence Agency. But in both the latter’s alert, the unknown toxin became identified as being Vren. |
| Mathis home | Detective Pangolin interviewed Jeanette and Ren Mathis. He learned that Dash had been worried about something recently, but hadn’t been ready to talk about it. He had also been concerned about the public’s perception of his relationship with Dasca, but she quelled those fears. Dash also had met up with an old friend from Agilon Prime at a café for lunch a few days ago and there had been raised voices that drew attention at one point, but Dash was able to help Torres out with a job through a ‘friend of a friend’. He works now at the Quill & Parchment |
| Virtual | Commissioner Karlson interviewed Eela Dasca. He had been at her place the night before for dinner and left around 0200 according to Dasca. She remained in bed and went to sleep. She awaoke at 0500 when Ren Mathis called looking for Dash because of the Ambassador’s distraught state. Eela also spoke about Dash’s preoccupation lately. He apparently was going to tell her what was bothering him, but didn’t want to ruin the mood of their date and said he’s save it for their scheduled lunch the next day. Her alibi thus far is that she was in bed and in her apartment all night- to be confirmed by security records. |
| COS’ Office | 72 hours of security footage from Jones’ apartment showed two 0.2 second blips at 0145 and 0250 where footage was overlaid showing nothing going on. It was precisely done and either required significant skill and/or advanced tech. |
| Jones’ Apt Bldg | After checking the original building footage it was clear that the original footage had not been tampered with and that something had disrupted the system at those precise times to cover the assailant’s entry and retreat. There was no clue yet as to how the assailant entered the apartment given there was no obvious sign of forced entry. |
| Jones’ Apt Bldg | At the exit for the emergency stairs that Dash’s floor connects with a red smear was found on the side of the railing facing the door. |
| Shop | Across the alley was the back exit of a homewares store. After getting permission to view their security footage it was confirmed to be untampered and continuous. A darkly dressed figure appeared and rubbed their chin, and the slight silhouette of tendrils suggests the individual is Flaxian. |
| Police HQ | Tendril ID’d as belonging to a 38 year old Flaxian name Tokerl. He had been in prison 3 times for assault and once for first-degree murder. Multiple other incidents that never saw a courtroom. He was also a known contractor of the Orion Syndicate. |
| Police HQ | After getting Fed Sec to grant access, the investigation team was able to dig through Jones’ computer. Deleted (but not permanently) were a series of threatening messages warning Dash that if he didn’t help them get info on something called PAD, others might pay the price. |

| Virtual | The Governor held an emergency Cabinet meeting and informed them about the death of Dashiel Jones. Harris and Mace are instructed to make sure there is no direct threat to the colony and no one is trying to pin this on the Vren without cause. Zerbo’s department is tasked with working with the police to see if there is a financial angle, and Enger is tasked with increasing security at educational facilities once the news breaks, especially for children of Ambassadorial staff, and to work with the Police and CCDA to ensure student safety. |
| Governor’s Private Home | Governor, Caridee, Karilan, Dr. Fayth and the rest of Eela’s care team learn that through her telepathic connection with Dash, Eela experienced the physical effects of Dash’s beating and death. |

| Jones’ Apt | CSU findings from the scene: - there was a mark of blood on the edge of the entryway into the sleeping area 180 cms up from the floor and DNA matched the victims. It looked like it was from a high impact. Below that and smushed into the carpet by footwear was a tendril, organic in origin that was from a Flaxian. Other than the tendril, there were no other DNA traces in the apartment that did not belong to Jones. The office was the most tossed about, as if someone was searching for something. There were no signs of forced entry. The door and the electronic lock are intact, as also evidenced by the fact that it was closed and locked when Mathis and security arrived for the wellness check. |
| Jones’ Apt | brief scan of Jones revealed several injuries to his face (fractures to left side of the mandible, right zygomatic, right maxilla) that has caused some swelling, a particulate in a laceration on the cheek that was of some sort organic material. There was also a contusion to the abdomen with a closed fracture, and his right arm was also broken. Contusions on his right hand showed he fought back. There was a small laceration on the left side of his skull. None of these injuries would have been life threatening. Rigor mortis was still present showing death had been in the last 12 hours and there was evidence of cellular death. Liver temp is ~33 C. |
