Tiberius smiled and nodded and continued to put on his suit. After a few minutes, he had his suit on and was ready to go. He grabbed ones of the transporter enchancers and throw it in his backpack. He was ready to go as soon as the shuttlecraft landed and he could step out. He then said to Hannah, “Please set the shuttlecraft down as close as you think is safe and i will get out and then I want you to get the shuttlecraft just above the surface so there is no chance the shuttlecraft will fall into the craves where the runabout is stuck. I will then head down and try and get everyone out of the runabout. Please be ready to beam up as soon as I can get contact and what not.”

“Cmdr.? Might I make a suggestion? I would recommend beaming in yourself. I say this for a few reasons. First we don’t know if that ledge is safe enough to traverse. Secind, the runabout has no power. If you open a hatch, what little air they might have will be sucked out into the vacuum. Additionally the sudden depressurization could cause the runabout to shift and fall further.” Hannah wasn’t trying to give orders, but she wanted everyone to come back safe from this.

Tiberius then responded to Hannah, “You are correct. I am going to need to beam in directly. I would rather not get the shuttle any closer in case there is any issues with the stability of the craves where the runabout current sits. I am about ready to go.” It took Tiberius another 3 minutes to finish getting ready and then he looked at Hannah and nodded and said, “I am ready for this. Beam me down when you are ready. Please keep a lock on me at all times just in case everything hits the fan.” He stood there and waited to be beamed over. He was nervous but knew this needed to be done.

Hannah stood and pulled out a device from a storage locker and wrapped it around his arm tightly. “Mobile pattern enhancer. Only good for you, but it will keep you secure. Just don’t panic if things go wrong. I’ll catch you. The stop on the pad might be a bit sudden though.” She moved back to the pilot seat and moved the shuttle in as close as possible without allowing the thrusters to disrupt the runabout’s precarious perch. Use of scans and the computers data on the construction of the vessel, they were able to extrapolate a safe area to transport Cattaneo in. Asimina turned the seat and reached for the ops controls to engage the transporter. “Keep your comm open Cmdr. Energizing now,” her fingers tapped and ran steadily over the controls and Cattaneo disappeared into a swirl of light.

Cattaneo materialized in the runabout without issue and found himself in perhaps an unexpected scenario: the runabout was empty.

There was some light damage from the crash, but there were no people present. However, there was a portable comm unit hooked up to a power source. A power source they hadn’t detected. The unit had a screen and a flashing button indicating a message had been saved there.

When Tiberius arrived, he was very surprised there was no one here. He did notice there was a flashing button and went ahead and hit it to hear what was recorded. He was hoping everything was okay with the missing crew.

It was an audio recording and had the distinct voice of their Commander-In-Chief, Captain Dasca: “Congratulations, you have successfully rescued the crew. Your timely arrival allowed all four to be retrieved before they lost breathable air. Your task now is to return to the Centurion for debrief with Captain McBride.”

Command Cattaneo to shuttlecraft, “The crew is not really a crew. This was simply a test. Please beam me back to the shuttle so we can meet back up with the Centurion. Cattaneo out.” Tiberius then waited to be beamed back up and explain the surprise to Hannah.

=/\=Energizing now, Cmdr.=/\= Hannah moved to the controls and soon he had materialized back into the shuttle. She helped to remove the helmet and the pattern enhancer and replaced them to their storage areas.

Tiberius looked at Hannah when his helmet was off with the help of Hannah. He smiled and then said, “I was not expecting the fact there was not any actual crew on board and never was. It was assumed since it was a real hail, it was people not just what seemed to be a test. We need to get back to the Centurion. I will handle the flight back if you do not mind.” He then took off the rest of his suit and then sat down at the helm position on the shuttlecraft so they could make their way back to the Centurion.

Hannah looked at him, “Wait wait wait,” she wasn’t sure she’d caught all of that. “There was no crew? Care to elaborate a bit more, Cmdr?”

Tiberius stopped for a second and looked at Hannah, “Yes, there was no crew, it was simply a recording saying ‘Congratulations, you have successfully rescued the crew. Your timely arrival allowed all four to be retrieved before they lost breathable air. Your task now is to return to the Centurion for debrief with Captain McBride’. I was extremely disappointed and somewhat frustrated at the fact I believed there were lives at stake and there really was not anything there. I am ready to speak with McBride on this.” He rolled his eyes after finishing talking about it because he was very annoyed at the situation. He truly believed someone was in danger. He was happy he did not risk the life of lieutenant Asimina especially since there was not really any crew. It could have been very dangerous to go on the ship. He was glad it was him and not Hannah.

“Ah so the shake down patrol was really an elaborate training exercise.” Hannah nodded once and then moved to the back of the shuttle, making herself ‘busy’ stowing equipment. Cattaneo was obviously irritated. It was a good thing she never laughed in front of people (it made her self conscious because of her voice); however, her shoulders were shaking with barely contained amusement. She thought this was an amazing training exercise. Not that McBride needed her approval but she intended to tell him how effective she thought it was.

Tiberius looked over at Hannah and knew something was going on but he was more annoyed than anything so he was more worried about that than her. He sat back down at the console for the pilot and started the trip back to the Centurion. He was glad the mission went well but was annoyed at the outcome. After a number of minutes, they arrived back to the Centurion. He landed the shuttlecraft without any issues and was ready to get off the ship and debrief the captain. He looked over at Hannah as they were leaving and said, “Do you want to follow me and we will go back to the captain for our debriefing?” He pointed towards the door to walk with Hannah and waited to see how she responded.

There was an emergency medical team waiting in the shuttle bay. They looked confused. “Give me a moment, and I will join you.” She stepped over to the team and gave them quick orders. They nodded and collected their gear and left. “Alright, Cmdr. Shall we?” Asimina headed ouy of the bay and down the corridor for the bridge. These Avenger class ships were small. The door to the bridge opened and she stepped through after Cattaneo and towards McBride’s chair.
