Fayth escorted Mercer away from the secured lab and back down the hall, but not to the exit. Instead they stopped by a set of offices. “Dr. Mercer, I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you have walked into and seen things I am not sure you should have. So we have two options. You can wait with the officer inside while I verify your identity and credentials, or I can contact Colonial and Star Fleet securities and let them handle this security breach.”

Elijah found himself taken aback by the Lieutenant Commander’s unexpected resolutions, observing her petite, 5‘2” stature and distinctive blue-black hair that gracefully swayed with each movement. The Betazoid features, evident in her pure black irises, provided a striking contrast against her lightly pinked pale skin.
