Eela smiled and nodded, shoving the PaDD into her pocket. Later. Right now it would be good to enjoy dinner with friends.

Yavia placed a hand over his heart and the other arou d his waist and squeezed him in a hug as he kissed her. “Missed you, too.”

“Hi Eela,” Sharah greeted her and then grinned watching Charles and Yavia, and the feelings, the way the blended together just felt good, like some piece of the universe had slipped into place. “I gotta wash up too.” She headed for the stairs, but was snagged by an arm arou d her waist before she could get there. Yavia hugged her and gave her a quick kiss.

“Now you can go. And you two better not mean a soak in a tub when you say wash up. This is coming out of the oven now!” Yavia called after them. Yavia grabbed a mit and pulled the skillet out of the oven and began plating food.

Sharah came back up the stairs about the time Yavia had placed the basket of rolls on the table. She started pouring drinks and setting those on the table. “Yavia this smells amazing.”

Sharah

“The rolls are amazing. I could eat them all day,” Eela said with a smile.

Yavia grinned, “Thank you, Eela. And she means it. She’s already had at least 3. So if you want one you better horde them.”

Charles came up in red t-shirt and shorts a moment later. He smiled at Yavia and said “Hun, this is a great spread. Can I help with anything?”

Yavia kissed his cheek, “Nope.” She slid an arm around his waist, “Just eat.” The girls took seats on either side of TK leaving the fourth chair at the round table for Eela. Each plate had an apple, bacon, blue cheese stuffed porkchop, roasted brusslesprouts, and home made dinner rolls. “You better savor it too. I don’t cook like this often.” Then she laughed.

Yavia

TK laughed and said “I’ll be sure to go slow.” Which wouldn’t be hard considering the massive lunch he and Sharah had had. He grabbed a roll and then looked at Yavia. “Thanks, V. You did a great job.” and he stabbed a sprout and popped it in his mouth. “Oh man… that is tasty.” he said and chewed slowly. Finishing the bite, he looked at V and said “So how was the day? You guys do alright?” and he glanced at Eela and then back.

Tenkiller

Eela nodded slowly as she cut a small piece off her pork chop. “Jal’na came by again and had her work cut out for her, but hopefully I won’t wake up too sore in the morning. And I touched base with Cort and the Governor after we did some of the dinner prep.” She popped the bite into her mouth and chewed slowly. Of the very little meat she did eat, pork had never been her favourite but she had to admit that was prepared very well nad the stuffing was particularly delightful.

Yavia handed over a jar, apple butter, to Sharah as she grabbed a roll. “Be glad you weren’t here earlier. It looked like a flour mill exploded, but it was fun.I handled some correspondence.” She was quite careful to keep her mind vague.

Sharah laughed, “You have a secret Yavia.” The Deltan looked at her, “Do I, Sweetheart? I have no idea what you mean.” And she winked at her and gave TK a knowing grin. “It was a rather relaxing day. How was work?”

Yavia

Charles shrugged and said “I’ve had worse days, that’s for sure.” He ate some and then said “I ended up playing hooky a little bit, but it was needed.” He set down his knife and fork, wiped his mouth with his napkin and turned to fully face Eela. “Listen… I am really bad about holding grudges and I really don’t wanna do that here. And I know you are in a s#!t spot. And I’m trying really hard not to be mad at your words, ‘cause they hurt. A lot. I really was just trying to do what needed to be done, and I’m sorry that put you in the public eye. I really hope you can forgive me that misstep, and now I’m gonna shut up and eat my pork chops before I end up having a vid of a food fight in our dining room leaked out and you have to explain that too.” He gave her a half-smile, nodded at her once and then turned back to his plate and began eating.
