“You don’t get on the Atlantis by being average.” Marsh made a face, some paid more attention to the Star-Fleet profile list than others or perhaps this was information that wasn’t disseminated below commander rank. In either case it was not the way someone should have been notified. “I’m sorry Ensign. But take heart, being out of contact isn’t a death sentence… Star-ships are notorious for being missing for weeks and popping back up.”

Marsh

Sharah stood up a little straighter and put it out of her mind. Nothing she could do about it now. “Of course, Lt. Space is too vast to make assumptions. Thank you for informing though.” She would have found out eventually, she supposed. She’d only been on board a few days and hadn’t seen the need to check the reports. Something she would make sure to do more often from now on. Not being good with social conventions of conversation due to the noise in her head, Sharah returned to her work, “Can I answer any other questions for you, Lt.?”
En Fayth, Doctor

“Good enough, Carry on Ensign.” Marsh gave her a slight nod which was as close as Star-Fleet came to salutes… that and standing at attention. They loved doing that.

Marsh

Sharah nodded, “Thank you Lt.” Sharah stepped out of Marsh’s office and headed for the arboretum. She knew who she was going to send a message to first thing, but she was going to go get started now. Working in the flower beds would help, and calm her mind, and she loved it.
En. Fayth, Doctor.

Two weeks later Lt. Marsh would receive a message from En Fayth inviting him to come see the final result of the arboretum.
