As they entered the area, Vora brought up the incoming sensor readings on the binary white dwarfs, letting the sensors give her both the bigger picture of the system, plus some of the more nitty gritty sensor details that might get missed in a general overview.

This star system had the binary white dwarfs in the center with 13 planets of varying sizes and types around them. There were three gas giants in the medium zone of the system with the only habitable planet being in orbit of one of them. The gas giants were evenly spaced from each in their orbit of the stars, both in elliptical period as well as distance from the suns. There were a few icy dwarf planets on the extreme outskirts of the system. The rest of the planets were barren rocks within the inner region of the solar orbit. These planets had no atmosphere as they were baked mercilessly by the twin stars. As for the suns themselves, age could be estimated to roughly 13.7 billion years give or take a few hundred million. They weren’t at risk for going super nova any time soon, but the risk would increase over the next billion years or so.

Interesting. Focusing the readouts on the tidally-locked planet, Vora dug into the climate and probably history of the habitable planet. Her hypothesis so far was that the body was extra-solar and had somehow drifted into the gravitational pull of the gas giant, but she wanted to see if she could find evidence. Nonetheless, things like the gravity of the world, the major climatic regions and population density would tell her a lot about the evolution of these people.

There was a chance that this was an extra-solar stellar body before getting trapped in the gas giant’s gravity as there were some elements present that were not found on any other planet in the system. The gravity of the planet was 1.2G Earth standard, most of the planet was arid with few open water sources though there were population centers on top or adjacent to several deep water aquifers, the population centers themselves varied in size with one that seems to be the ‘capital’ or largest city having a total population of 32 Billion bio-signs present. Some of these could be domesticated pets are other fauna but it would be safe to say that there were a lot of sapient beings on this planet.
