As Lia leaned, there was a loud crash as a pan full of metal objects fell to the floor, and clattered all across the deck plating.

– ?

NE Itap spun, phaser at the ready, but luckily she had enough sense to hold back and assess first before firing. Being aware didn’t mean you couldn’t be surprised.

IC: “&@%$*#&@^” Franklin yelled a few exotic swear words as he flinched and pulled his phaser out of reflex. Immediately he began looking around the room for the source of the noise. The crash had given him a good scare and he didn’t take too kindly to that… “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph…” He muttered, trying to calm his heart rate by breathing deeply.

“No kidding, Itap said, exhaling slowly.

“You can say that again.”

ooc: I’m sorry, I feel like I missed something.. I thought we’d had a post about the thingy coming over already, but I can’t seem to find it so I’m going on here.

Just after that surprising crash, the item Maddie had sent him arrived, materializing. Still rather shaken, Franklin tapped his comm badge and called Europa.

=/\=Franklin here, I’ve received the Chief’s adaptor tool, going to try to begin the data transfer directly. Cross your fingers, sir./=/\=

Once he’d made the call, he took the adaptor tool and began making connections between his Tricorder and the Klingon Mainframe. He punched in a command to run his program and attempted to get any information he could about what had happened in Main Engineering and on the Bridge.

Resuming her slow and careful patrol around the area, Itap couldn’t deny that she was slightly more on edge now, but was trying her best to stay focused and quell the effect the adrenaline rush had had on her body.

“Nothing like a creepy alien ship to give you the willies, right?” Franklin made small talk as he worked.

“It does take a bit more effort to not get jumpy,” Itap admitted. “I think Abrams would have my hide if I accidentally shot someone, so we’re keeping calm…” she said with a slow nod of her head. At least her phaser was set to stun.
