Lews grinned in a fatherly fashion at the Chief Medical Officer, “Thank you doctor, it was quite a feat to get accomplished, I am Anaeawd Llewelyn Iarnuuocon, but please Lews will suffice.” He offered to escort her to the bar for the glass of synthehol, stepping behind the bar when they arrived to dispense it himself. “Do not be surprised that you cannot readily identify me, I am a civilian and not required to check in the same as the officers are.” Lews stated with a mischievous grin, as he poured the chilled glass of white, instead of replicating one. “Perhaps I give a hint or two of sections you might enjoy?”

She looked around as she settled on the stool and leaned on the bar counter. “Okay, Lews, give me gist. If you’re like any decent host I know, you have an uncanny knack for knowing a person’s inclinations before you get to know them. Which sections do you think would be my taste,” Satreya asked with a smirk, her ebony eyes gazing at him intently.

Lews smiled at the Doctor for a moment, “Well I’d say you treasure your peace and quiet, as there are often intrusions of shall we say background noise in your calming moments. For that we have the Nook, ” Lews waved towards the Balcony she has entered beneath. It was completely new and linked the lounge to a deck it had not been linked to prior. “The shelves are lined with classic works from all over the quadrant. The noise is dampened and I happen to have access to chairs with cortico emmitters that can blank out incoming thoughts via delta wave generation.” Lews smiled and winked, “But these,” he said reaching under the bar and lifting a decent sized mahagony box. “These are the real treasures, the works of Doyle, Christie, and PD James, among others, the great mysteries writers of many eras so you can forget your day, while treating that highly active mind to something other than medical journals. My personal collection of favorites are in this box.” While he spoke her senses would encounter an mind as ordered as any Vulcan’s with few to no errant thoughts, at least that leaked to the surface.

Satreya grinned at him. “And people are sometimes weirded out when they find out how good a telepath I am,” she remarked cheekily before patting the small cloth bag under her arm. She took the bag and placed it on the counter. “Guess I won’t be needing these journals.” She peered at the box and gestured. “May I look?” She couldn’t say she had a terribly wide breadth of literary knowledge, but she had indulged no and again.

Lews nodded, and slid the box closer. Tapping the thumb scanner that unlocked the older wooden box. “These are my personal favorites. I have a copy a few literary classics that were favorites of people I knew well at one time or another and they influenced me to try. Let me see, you are not likely the Moby Dick type, nor are you a Maid Marion, so Robinhood might be out, but perhaps you would enjoy Doyle’s, ‘a case in scarlet.’” Lews said opening the box carefully, and turning it so she could peruse the titles. “It is one of the first Sherlock Holmes Mystery tales.”

Boja smiled and nodded. “I’ve never read any Doyle, but I’ve heard good things about his work. I’ll try that one.” She eyed him. “But why mysteries? What makes you think I’d prefer them?” she asked almost coyly. He was perceptive, that much she knew and he seemed to know a great deal about her, how much did he really know? That much she wasn’t certain of… yet.

Lews smiled, “Just perceptive of my customers, while the rebuild was being done I had time to read the files of the crew, interesting read if you can read between the darkened lines, But most Doctors love mysteries, how in depth depends on the mind, the time, and the inclination of the doctor.” Lews smiled, “Besides you like times that force you to work beyond or without your gifts”
Gordon walked into the new bar and started looking for a seat. He had spent most of the day in his office working on personnel reports as was required at the end of a mission. He knew that as they approached the star base, those crewmen with transfer orders would have to receive their transfer eval’s, as the command master chief it was his responsibility to check those evals and sign off on them prior to their transfer. This time around there was over a hundred transfers. In addition, as a comand master chief, he had a policy that all chiefs to a transfer debrief with him prior to their transfer, which meant scheduling meetings with 36 chiefs and senior chiefs, all in the next few days. After spending the day in meetings with department chiefs, reading evals in addition to his other security duties, he was looking forward to sitting down and grabbing a drink and just trying to relax. He saw the CMO at the bar thought he would see who she was talking to.
He approached the bar stool and looked at her,“Excuse me Doctor, mind if I join you?” He asked in his deep gruff voice.

OOC: This would be post starbase and repair/refit timeline. Not that changes the busy day of the MCPO. Lews transferred aboard at the starbase. Though his file would have arrived this day, late and quietly shuffled as civilian. - Jeremy

Lews looked towards the man that aproached them, then he turned towards the glasses and bottles once he spoke to the CMO as to not be eavesdropping.
