Ensign Boss stalked the hallways of the Leviathan on his way to his first check-in. His eyes drifted from the floor, to the walls, to the lights on the ceiling, trying to soak up as many details as he could. Though he’d no doubt have plenty of time to study where the electrical paneling meets carpet, he always made a mental note to know as much about his surroundings as he could. After some meandering, he finally found himself in front of the First Officer’s Office, and with a chime, he walked in.

Immediately upon entering, his posture was already straightened, respectable. He stopped at attentention, head facing front, but his eyes as ever floated around the room, marking what he could in his mind for posterity. He spoke in a gravelly bass, betrayed by only the ghost of a cajun drawl.

“Ma’am. Ensign Vincent Boss, reporting for assignment.”

Elora looked up from the view screen at the Ensign that walked into her office without invitation. She did not say a word but looked back at the screen. “I’ll report back in a few days Sir. ” she said then closed the screen. “Ensign Boss.” she asked recognizing him from the transfer order. It took a moment but after her eyes had evaluated, smiled formed. “Have a seat Ensign, would you like something to drink, she said standing and moving to the replicator. Her office was clean and void of decoration either she had just arrived or she liked things bare.
