Nathan came onboard when the Chimera docked with the Starbase as part of the new crew transfer, He wasted no time getting his stuff sent to his quarters and then off he went to sickbay, his medical, along with his pysch eval were two things he needed to square away before reporting to the XO to report for duty.He arrived at sickbay shortly after heading there, he stopped a few steps inside the door
“Lt Hawthorne reporting for my medical”
He said hoping someone was there, as he didn’t even look around before announcing to the room what he was after.

Uss ChimeraAreiana held up a finger without looking away from the patient in front of her. “One moment.”
The young ensign sitting on the biobed wore an embarrassed expression as she carefully guided the osteoregenerator over his swollen hand. The device emitted a soft hum while tiny blue lights danced across the fractured bones beneath the skin.
“There,” she said after a moment, switching the device off and flexing his fingers gently to make sure everything had healed properly. “Good as new.”
The ensign experimentally opened and closed his hand before giving her a relieved smile.
“Thank you, Doctor.”
She gave him a look that was equal parts amused and disappointed. “Next time, Ensign, don’t accept drinking bets that you already know you can’t win.”
The young man rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Yes, ma’am.”
“I’ve been a doctor long enough to recognize the difference between an accident and someone trying to prove they could outdrink an engineer.” A small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. “Spoiler alert—you can’t.”
A couple of nurses nearby chuckled quietly while the ensign’s face turned a deeper shade of red.
“You’re free to go. Just try not to make me see you again today.”
“Yes, Doctor.”
As the ensign hurried out of Sickbay, Areiana peeled off her medical gloves and tossed them into the recycler. She picked up the next data pad from the counter, quickly reviewing the name attached to the appointment before making her way toward the newcomer waiting nearby.
She offered a warm, professional smile, brushing a loose strand of crimson hair behind her ear.
“Ah, you must be the new helm officer.”
She extended a hand in greeting.
“I’m Areiana Blackford, Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Chimera. It’s nice to meet you, Lieutenant Hawthorne.”
“You too Doctor” he said shaking the hand offered to him.
After shaking his hand, she picked up the medical data pad and began scrolling through the information with practiced efficiency. Her eyes moved rapidly across the screen, reviewing Starfleet Medical records, vaccination history, previous physicals, and psychological evaluations.
“Let’s see…” she murmured, tapping through another page. “Here we go.”
She nodded to herself.
“Overall, you look remarkably healthy. Your transfer physical came back excellent, your immunizations are current, and I don’t see any chronic medical conditions that would concern me.”
Looking up from the pad, she smiled again, her expression becoming more conversational than clinical.
“Still, records only tell part of the story.” She set the data pad down on the examination table and folded her arms comfortably. “Have you had any falls, injuries, illnesses, or accidents between leaving your last assignment and reporting aboard the Chimera? Even if it seems minor, I’d rather hear about it now than discover it during an emergency.”
She tilted her head slightly, giving him her full attention.
“And while we’re at it, how’s the transfer been treating you? Long journeys have a habit of leaving people more exhausted than they realize.”

“No falls, injuries , illnesses or accidents to report.....unless you count being stuck in a shuttle with a very talkative Bolian”
He said with a slight chuckle , he was of course joking, he respected all members of Star fleet and the federation.

Uss ChimeraAreiana let out a soft laugh, the sound light and genuine as a warm smile spread across her face.
“Well,” she said with an amused shake of her head, “you know, that’s certainly something.”
She chuckled to herself for another moment before gesturing toward one of the biobeds. Resting a hand against the edge of the examination table, she gave it a gentle pat.
“Go ahead and have a seat.”
Her tone was reassuring, the kind that immediately put patients at ease. Although she carried herself with the confidence expected of a Chief Medical Officer, there was an easygoing friendliness about her that made Sickbay feel far less intimidating.
“We’ll get a quick bioscan to make sure everything looks the way it should, update your medical file if necessary, and then I’ll give you one shot.” She smiled reassuringly. “After that, you’ll be free to go. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.”
She crossed over to one of the nearby medical consoles, waking the display with a few taps before retrieving a tricorder from its charging dock. As she checked that it was properly calibrated, she glanced back toward her patient.
“I know most people aren’t exactly thrilled about spending time in Sickbay,” she admitted with another small laugh. “So I try not to keep anyone here longer than absolutely necessary.”
Setting the tricorder to standby, she looked back up with an encouraging smile.
“Whenever you’re ready, just sit back and relax. I’ll take care of the rest. The bioscan is completely painless, and the injection will be over before you know it.”
(sorry about the delay been dealing with a bad tooth thats been killing me))

OOC: That’s ok , hope you’re feeling better now :-)
Nathan smiled , he was glad Areiana took the joke as it was meant,
“Injection, what injection is that then?”
He asked taking a seat on the biobed, he had no fear of having an injection, he was just curious what it was.

Areiana smiled reassuringly as she finished preparing the injector, noticing the slight curiosity in his expression. She had seen that look countless times over the years. New officers often wondered what exactly Starfleet was putting into them, especially during their first medical checkup aboard a new ship.
“Oh, nothing too exciting,” she said with a soft laugh. “It’s just a standard immunization injection.”
She held up the hypospray for a moment before setting it back on the tray, giving him plenty of time to relax rather than feeling rushed.
“You’ve already received most of these vaccinations during your Academy training and your pre-assignment medical processing. This is really just an update—a booster, along with a few immunizations that are specific to this mission and the regions of space we may be operating in.”
She leaned lightly against the counter, folding her arms comfortably as she continued.
“We like to have all our bases covered. A starship is a melting pot of species from dozens of different worlds. Every one of those worlds has its own bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and microorganisms. Most of them are completely harmless to the people who evolved alongside them…” She smiled knowingly. “…but introduce them to someone whose immune system has never encountered them before, and suddenly what would be a mild sniffle for one species could turn into a week in sickbay for another.”
She tapped the medical PADD with a finger.
“And that’s before you even consider away missions. One day you could be surveying a pristine Class M world, the next you’re assisting a colony that’s dealing with an outbreak of something no one’s seen in fifty years. We can’t prepare for every disease in the galaxy, but we can protect you against a surprising number of them.”
Her smile softened into one that was both professional and comforting.
“So, we keep everyone’s immunizations up to date. It protects you, it protects the rest of the crew, and it makes my job a whole lot easier. I’d much rather spend my day signing off on healthy physicals than treating preventable infections.”
She gave the hypospray a playful glance before looking back at him.
“Think of it as a little bit of prevention now to avoid a whole lot of misery later. Better to be safe than sorry, you know? Besides,” she added with a grin, “if I can keep you out of one of my biobeds in the future, I’d call that a successful day.”
