Hammond and Leeds entered the Ready room, Lt. Colonel Tessa Moren was waiting, along with Major M’alek, Captain Choe from the fleet angels. The Tier 1 team as already sitting in seats waiting for the briefing. They were the elite force within the marines on this ship. Someone of the nicest people you would ever meet, which made them that much more intimidating because of their ability to kill with precision. This team reported directly to Hammond do to the nature of the work it performed. Colonel Moren managed the day to day however.

“Colonel on Deck” someone called as they noticed Hammond. “At ease,” he said. “We will start the brief her in a few minutes looks like we are still short a couple.”

Lt. Burcham entered the room and stood in a corner, as he would just be there for medical aid, if and when needed.

Ensign Leeds stood to the side, her tricorder in her holster and hands behind her back as she waited quietly.

Ensign Tillia also stood near by she was going over the EV suits that were fitted with the Holoemitters modified into make shift shields and making sure everything was still good to go

Hammond stepped forward a little, as much as he wanted to come with them he trusted the team to get the job done. “Captain Cho, will take runabout 2 and will have operational command until the team is onboard. “Captain Quade, Pick your team” Quade was the head of the Tier 1 team designation Shadow Dagger.

Quade looked over to the leader of Alpha Element. “Fang Sir”

“Excellent Fang has breach. Good luck Staff Sargent Beck” He said I want “Vise” on stand by in the runabout for extraction. “Run a two one two, I want Starfleet personnel back with you Quade. Quade has operational command once on the ship.”

He expalined that they would be boarding as close to the core as they could, that they were to breach and get the samples, set the detonators and get out of there is fast as they could.

“Any questions?” he asked.

“Back with Captain Quade,” he smiled. “That goes for all the Starfleet personnel stay with him, keep close and follow his instructions as if your lives depend on it, because they might.” he said.

“Aye sir.” Leeds said as she retrieved her own gear and moved to stand with Quade as she donned it.

Just then, a comm call came through the bridge, =^=Andressen to Hammond, we have another element to the plan, I’ve pulled the prefix codes to the Pickett. Not sure if these things are aware of them, so we will deploy them as soon as contact is made and just prior to your launch. Usually the codes shut down the shields, but with this entity, it might have some other effect that we should be prepared for. Or it might not work at all if it’s taken steps to safeguard against them, like changing the code.=^=

Gear donned, Ensign Leeds stood by quietly near Captain Quade and waited for further orders.

“Alright no further questions. Good hunting,” he stated and dismissed them. “Captain Quade, everyone comes home” he said then walked “Good hunting Leeds, get in get out” he noted then left the room.

It was not long before the entire team was in their new protective suits waiting in the runabout. Captain Cho and her co-pilot finished the last of the flight checks and called up CIC.

Leeds took a seat next the doctor. “Hi,” She said brightly. “I’m Ensign Leeds, Science.”

“Hello Ensign Leeds, I am Lt. Burcham, I serve as the Chief Medical Officer. It is nice to meet you.” He replied.

IC Ensign Tillia spoke up “Hold just a moment I want to go over the EV suits with everyone she called getting everyones attention and moving them to the EV suits that were waiting “Now as you can see the shielding is provided by a modified Holoemmiter which projects a forcfiled only however without the ability to test without turning the whole ship into a zombie we can only theorize that its powersource will only hold for upto 6 incounters if you see it shimmer and flash thats an encounter so keep track once this is down the suit probably wont protect you though again without proper testing we just dont know yet though i would not count on it the shield system is controled through this control pannel we added here on the arm” she pointed to the upper arm where a simple button pannel was intigrated

Leeds listened carefully as Tillia explained the shield. She looked at the controls so she could be sure how to activate and deactivate.

Lt. Burcham looked over the controls and familiarized himself with how the suit would work. He took his tricorder to see if it could read people’s vitals through the suit.

As noone was wearing one at that exact moment he would have to wait until someone was wearing the suit however there was also noting that would block tricorder scans build into the rig so it should still be able to read

Tillia then said “Well lets get these on and get moving right Sir?” she asked the marine lead

Captain Cho looked back at tillia, just waiting for Clearance she noted as everyone put on the gear.

Ensign Leeds watched the Doctor scan their suits and waited to see if it worked. “Did it work?” She asked him.

Sapeth calmly checked over the controls for his suit, it would be something to be improved on later potentially, but for now they would be sufficient. Satisfied, he opened up his toolkit to do one last double check of what tools he had with him.

Leeds shifted in her seat and looked around curiously, wondering when they were going to take off.

“Perhaps there has been an issue with the rest of the fleet, and it would be prudent to contact the bridge for an update,” Sapeth said without looking up from his toolkit.

OOC Sorry i did not notice that someone had posted that the suits had been put on my bad just a retcon so that we can move forward yes lifesigns can still be scanned through the suits even with the makeshift shields

IC Tillia turned to LT Sapeth “Sir do you still want me to handle this or would you like me to head back to engineering?” she asked

Leeds knew they were waiting for word to go but she was getting more nervous with all the waiting. She glanced at the doctor, “Have you gone on a lot of away missions?”

she nodded and headed back to Engineering the ship was in motion and it would be a short trip to where what was once the USS Pickett was

Having finished reviewing his kit, Sapeth sat the closed case down on the floor next to his boots as he waited for them to launch. Closing his eyes he begin meditating, centering himself before the mission began.

Choe made one last cross check to ensure all lights were green for lauch. “Dagger 11, Cleared to Launch.” he responded crisply, and then the shuttle learched with a burst of speed out of the Chimera. She raised shields and steered toward to the Picket Two fighter craft in tow.
