Chris arrived at the door of the Counsellor. he straightened his uniform then rang the door chime, he then waited for permission to enter

OOC: Note: The Mythology-class has a whole Counselling suite with a reception and six offices.

The door slid open automatically and inside was a large half moon space. In the centre was a curved desk where a blond Risian sat behind a computer terminal. Behind her along the curve of the room were six doors, each with a different colour. The wall with the door to the corridor had a few chairs for people to wait if needed.

The third door of the six in the semi-circle slide open. A petite woman with chin length blond curls stepped out, handing a PADD to the receptionist, the warm and friendly Risian, Cherry. The two conversed for a brief moment before Cherry handed the woman a PADD. The woman from the red office turned her gaze and seemed to hone in on Taylor, her grass green eyes intense. “You know, everyone’s avoiding us. I’m starting to get a complex,” she said, breaking into a light grin. “Come on in and tell us who you are and what we can do for you.”

Chris smiled

He entered the room gestured to by Janna

“I’m Ensign Chris Taylor, I just came onboard, I was part of the Memorial crew and i’m here for my intial Pysch eval

Janna gave him a warm smile and Cherry nodded to him. “Follow me and we’ll have a friendly little chat.”

Kingston led him through the red door and the office was a modest space rather fitting of the petite woman. She didn’t go to great lengths to decorate, but it was definitely more than the standard grey furniture and carpet. On the wall above the couch was an image of an ocean scene that could be almost anywhere and the standard grey slim arm chairs had been replaced with softer larger armchairs in a dark blue that looked inviting to curl up into. On top of the standard carpet, the sitting area was covered in a plush rug in different shades of blues that matched the ocean in the photo. On the other side of the room where she mostly worked, there was a tall leafy plant near her desk and a single silver photo frame on the corner of the desk where she could easily see it when she worked at the computer terminal. Overall, the place was warm but practical and uncluttered- much like Janna.

“Are you a food and or beverage person during a chat, or would you prefer without?” Janna asked, gesturing to the sitting area for him to sit.

Chris followed Janna as requested, as soon as he entered he mentally noted that it was the nicest Counsellor room he had ever been in.

Being English he couldn’t pass up a cup of tea when someone offered

“An Earl Grey tea please”

“Sure,” Kingston said, smiling.

A moment later, she set the tea on the table and took a seat in one of the large armchairs, PADD in hand. She settled into the back and while her small frame could have been swallowed up, Janna’s presence was very prominent as she took in another of the new crew. “You’ve had a big change. What do you think of the Athena adn the Mythology-class, so far?”

“Thank you,” Chris said, taking a measured sip of his tea.

“It certainly is an impressive ship.”

She studied him for a moment. “How does that compare to the Memorial? Anything here you’re concerned about?” Sometimes it took awhile for someone to warm up to the conversation, so Janna was taking it at his pace for the moment.

“I was only on the Memorial for a few months before the transfer, it was my first ship when i left the academy, I don’t think theres anything to be concerned about, it will just take a bit of time to get used to the ship, that’s all”

Kingston nodded. “A second posting in your first year after graduation can still be a lot. Tell me about those months on the Memorial. Any notable ups and downs?”
