Shortly after Lieutenant T’Shain had stepped off the shuttle, she looked over at the transporter Chief. “Chief. Transport my personal stuff to my quarters. Also, send my work stuff like my PaDDs to my office. I want to make sure everything goes to the right place. I have a lot of setting up to do.” She asked the Chief to do so.

NE Logan nodded and started to do so. “Yes Lieutenant of course. And welcome aboard.” NE Logan said.

Lieutenant T’Shain had then walked out and headed to the turbolift to head to bridge. Once at the turbolift, she had said. “Bridge.” She ordered the turbolift. Once the doors slid shut it then started to take off. It had then took a hault and finally arrived at her destination. She didn’t know what to do except head to the ready room and rang the chime.

“Enter,” game a gravelly voice from inside the ready room.

The doors opened to reveal what at first glance appeared to almost be a museum dedicated to late 20th century military equipment. Machine guns, automatic pistols, military plaques and framed awards lined the walls, including numerous Purple Hearts, a Medal of Honor and a Bronze star. Also, on the walls were framed pictures of Army military units. If one looked close enough, they would recognize a younger Capt. Colter with various military rank insifnia on the uniforms.

Colter’s favorite item in the collection sat by itself, almost reverently. It was an US Army M24 sniper rifle. The weapon he used to get him safely through the Eugenics War.

Seated behind the desk was Capt. DaVinci Colter himself. A large muscular man whose every muscle was in perfect symmetry with its’ counterpart.

“Lt. Shain, welcome to the Manhattan. Please have a seat.”

She stepped in and nodded. “Thank you sir.” She said taking a seat in front of him. “I’m happy to be here sir. As your ships counselor, I might say is the most logical thing if I went ahead and did my check in with you. I heard we don’t have a current Chief Medical Officer just yet so I skipped right to you sir. Hope you don’t mind that.” She said to the captain with a straight face saying very logical things.

“That’s perfectly fine, Lt.,”Colter replied. “I need you to get right to work anyway. According to records, the Manhattan has been without a counselor for quite some time. Many of thecrew are overdue for their evals, as well as a whole slew of new crew coming aboard.. I hope your up for keeping busy for a while?”

“Of course, Captain,” T’Shain responded. “However, as I sit here today, you and I can have a counseling session right now. See what you’re struggling with, sir.” She added. “Of course, if the time is right to do so.” She again added and suggested. She sat there suggesting to Captain Colter that it had been best to go right ahead and get started with him before she continued with the rest of the crew. She knows, as the ship’s counselor, it is logical that she works from the top down to everyone else.

“Yeah, I suppose I may as well get it out of the way. Set as good example for the crew, right?

“I’m excited to get back into the center seat,” he began. “After the Saracen was decommed, I took a position teaching at the Academy. I enjoyed it, but it’s not the same as being out here. As I mentioned, we’ve got a lot of new staff coming aboard. I just want to make sure everybody’s ready to roll when neworders come in.”
