PERSONAL HISTORY
Daniel James Colter was born in the rural Wyoming town of Medicine Bow in 1964. Raised on his family’s cattle ranch, he developed a strong work ethic, exceptional physical conditioning, and an independent mindset from an early age. A gifted athlete throughout high school, Colter earned a full football scholarship to the University of Wyoming. Widely regarded as a legitimate professional football prospect, he appeared poised for a career in the National Football League until disaster struck during the opening game of his freshman season. A catastrophic knee injury ended his playing career before it truly began. Rather than allowing the setback to define him, Colter redirected his competitive drive toward military service. At twenty years of age he enlisted in the United States Army.

PROJECT AURORA**
Following the conclusion of the Eugenics Wars and the disappearance of Khan Noonien Singh aboard the sleeper vessel SS Botany Bay, a joint multinational contingency plan was established. The United States assembled an elite pursuit detachment composed of operators from Delta Force, U.S. Navy SEAL Teams, and Marine Raiders, Spetsnaz GRU, Tokushu-sakusengun, GSG 9, Joint Task Force 2, and British SAS.
Mission Directive: If Khan ever returned toward Earth, intercept and neutralize the threat before arrival. The detachment departed aboard the experimental cryogenic sleeper ship SS Aurora. Approximately three months after launch, Aurora suffered a massive asteroid impact that crippled propulsion and destroyed nearly every cryogenic support system aboard. Captain Daniel Colter’s pod was the sole life-support unit to remain operational. Aurora drifted unattended for nearly four centuries.

TEMPORAL INCIDENT
DATE: Stardate 62453.2 (2385) The derelict Aurora was recovered by a Department of Temporal Investigations temporal survey vessel. Captain Colter was revived after approximately 390 years in cryogenic suspension. Following extensive psychological evaluation, cultural integration, and temporal debriefings, DTI concluded that Colter represented no significant temporal contamination risk. Recommendation: Transfer to Starfleet Command. Approved.
