PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY

Born in Shi’Kahr in 2363, T’Shain was raised within one of Vulcan’s respected philosophical houses. Her father served as a scholar specializing in Surak’s teachings, while her mother represented Vulcan on several Federation Diplomatic advisory councils.

Although educated according to traditional Vulcan customs emphasizing logic, discipline, and emotional mastery, T’Shain developed an early fascination with psychology-not as an emotional pursuit, but as a scientific study of cognition and behavior across species.

Her interest grew after observing Federation diplomats resolve conflicts through understanding rather than force. She concluded that emotional intelligence, when properly understood, was a logical instrument for maintaining peace.

Choosing Starfleet Academy over the Vulcan Science Academy once again proved controversial within portions of her extended family. Many believed counseling aboard starships required unnecessary emotional involvement.

T’Shain instead argued that preserving the mental health of Starfleet crews operating in hostile and isolated environments was among the Federation’s most logical investments.
