It was a day later and the Ark Angel had returned safely to Starbase 243 when Junior Lt Chris Emmitt and Lt Tenzing Trainor would get a page to the Captain’s Ready Room =/\= Junior Lieutenant Chris Emmitt and Lt Tenzing Trainor report to my ready room in 5 minutes! =/\= Drudoc said

A second later a third member was added to the ship wide page =/\= Ensign Trax Elbrun Suder report to my ready room in 5 minutes! =/\= She added

Trax was finishing off all the side work to keep the CMO happy as the call came in. “Nurse please finish off the supply list There is one tote left.” Trax asked the nurse to do for him since he was called away from sickbay to finish himself. “Of course Doctor!” (Ne Nurse Daniels responded quickly.) Trax left after the confirmation of the request and headed to the captain’s ready room. He was not sure why he was summoned to the ready room but It did not sound good in the cos tone. As he took the nearest lift to the bridge he was alone in the car as it rose to the command deck. As the doors opened to a rather bustling bridge. As he moved the side of the bridge to the captain’s ready room door. As Trax hesitated a moment before he finally tapped the chime.

Moments later the door opened to allow Trax to pass through the threshold of the co’s office as he calmly moved into the room and stood at attention. “Ensign Trax Elbrun Suder reporting as ordered sir!” Trax spoke quickly then fell silent. Trax wanted to speak more but he held his thoughts and mouth till he was cleared to do so. It had been a bit since he used his full name in the commander’s presence.

”..Good timing Ensign. Stand at ease for now till the others I called arrive..” She said checking a holo-clock.

“Five minutes?!” He was down in Engineering running some diagnostics now that they were back in port when he got the page. “Dawson!” He waved the NE over to him. “I need you to keep watch on this diagnostic and let me know what the results are. Make sure the levels stay within the acceptable parameters.”

Dawson dashed over to let the Chief head out, “Understood sir!”

Chris tapped his comm badge as he dashed out of Engineering. =^= “Understood Captain, en route now!” =^=

Only a couple seconds before the five minutes did Chris make it to the door, partially out of breath. He took those few seconds to compose himself and catch his breath before pressing the chime.

Tenzing had been on the Bridge when the call came through, but needed to wait until one of his junior officers could take over before leaving. Lieutenant Trainor laughed to himself as he saw the Chief Engineer practically barge from the turbolift.

“We have transporters.” The Operations Chief joked as he walked up beside Emmitt.

Chris cleared his throat. “They’re called emergency transports for a reason ya know..” He laughed for a second before he continued, “Though it would have made the trip a lot faster! Should we head in ..?” He raised his arm and pointed to the ready room behind him with his thumb pointed over his shoulder.

Chris almost jumped at the sudden voice he was only half expecting. He exhaled in an exaggerated manner indicating his surprise, “Wooo .. that was .. I should have expected that haha! I’ll catch ya inside! Guessing the Captain might need a report for the Yellek ships.. I hadn’t finished writing it up yet on getting the ship back in order..” A small sense of dread filled his expression as he turned. “Hopefully it’s nothing too serious..”

Chris then turned and walked through the door and saw Trax there and raised an eyebrow for a moment and thought ‘Well .. there were some minor injuries on the ships, perhaps she needs a report from medical as well ..?’ He walked up and stood next to Trax in front of the Captain and snapped to attention to report in. “Chief Engineer Chris Emmitt reporting as ordered Captain.”

Lieutenant Trainor had a sense that they weren’t being called in for a report about the Yellek and was about ensure the Chief Engineer, but the doors opened. Tenzing walked up and stood next to the Chief Engineer as he stood to attention.

“Reporting as ordered, Captain.” Lieutenant Trainor stood at ease in the parade rest position until the Captain addressed them, then he’d snap to attention.

Trax watched as other officers came in and stood around him waiting for the commander to say something? He was beginning to wonder why he was there it was not to get updates from him. All that was sent by the CMO the office was busy dealing with stuff in the office when he left sickbay to come here.

Drudoc rose from behind her desk, “..Thank you each for coming so promptly I want each of you to know I would normally follow our usual procedure by having promotions achieved by each of you here now in 17/18 Forward with one of our usual post mission parties but I am due for a mission briefing with Admiral Handleson in 30 minutes..” She said.

Moving around the desk fluidly she approached she approached Tenzing Trainor first. “..Lieutenant Trainor your service to this ship has been above reproach. It is with this in mind that Starfleet and myself are giving you a promotion to Lieutenant Commander effective immediately with all responsibilities and honors there in. I have no doubt you’ll continue to serve this ship and her crew to your high standards in the coming future in your role as our Chief of Operations..” She said pinning a Lt Commander’s pip next to his two Lieutenant ones.

Moving down the line she approached Chris Emmitt next. “..Junior Lieutenant Emmitt your duty to this ship in recent times has shown a creativity and inventive mind that I and Starfleet both have come to admire. It is with this in mind that you are to be promoted effectively immediately to full Lieutenant and continue in your role as Chief Engineer..” She said pinning the Lieutenant pip to his collar after removing the Junior pip

Finally she approached Ensign Suder, “..Ensign Suder, since joining this ship your service in the realm of medical care has been of the highest grade of service to your patients and this ship. In addition since the departure of our last two CMO’s you have taken a lead role in managing the medical department alongside NE Marsh. It is to this role that I am effectively immediately enstating you as the ship’s Chief Medical Officer with a promotion to Lt junior grade effective immediately. I have no doubt your service will continue to shine as brightly as it has these past weeks..” She said pinning the junior lt pip to his collar. Stepping back then she said looking over all three, “..Congratulations to all three of you..”

”..Now then if there is no questions you’re all dismissed to return to your duties..” She said.

Trax was still not sure what to say or think of the promotion that was given to him. Now more things made sense to him with the last CMO and other things that happened. As he left the office.

Chris stood a little taller after the pip was added to his collar, easily being able to see the pride he had for Starfleet and excited for everything there was even after this. Higher rank held still higher responsibilities and he was eager to take them on. “Understood Captain, thank you!. I’ll continue to ensure that the Ark Angel runs at the peak of her condition!” It was a rather swift dismissal afterwards, but he was sure the Captain was most likely busy considering they were the ones to establish a first contact not too long ago and didn’t want to linger longer than necessary. Some swift congratulations were in order before he had to head back down to Engineering and make sure that the results of the diagnostic that he was running were in order. He turned to the new Lieutenant Commander, “Congratulations Commander!” He held his hand out to firmly shake shake theirs.

“And to you as well Lieutenant!” His eyebrows perked up for a moment as if remembering something and gently inclined his head to give respect to the newly pinned Junior Lieutenant. Thankfully, this was one of the times he actually remembered that Vulcan’s usually weren’t ones for physical contact.. at least from what he remembered?
