Becket heard the chime and had smiled. “Enter, Ensign.” He replied. “Welcome aboard the Ark Angel. Hope finding here wasn’t to hard.” He added. “Would you like anything to snack on or drink by chance?” Becket asked him as he went to the replicator.

Izak blinked in surprise, but did his best to recover. “No thank you Captain, I’m fine.”

Captain Becket looked younger than he’d expected, though Izak was used to dealing with the grizzled Captains that taught so many of his engineering classes back at the Academy.

The young Ensign had also expected a formal meeting, with the Captain sitting behind an imposing desk while Izak stood at attention. This… wasn’t that. He wasn’t quite sure what it was.

ENS Waryn decided to follow the Captain’s lead as he worked to get his feet under him.
