As the Ark Angel made her way to the coordinates given them by the First Federation, the sensor alarms began to chime indicating the presence of another ship in the vicinity.

Ciaran heard and saw the sensor alarms as they came out of warp. He was expecting there to be a ship but needed to confirm what it was. He then said, “Tactical, can you confirm the ship type and configuration via a scan?” He needed to do this quickly. He also then said, “Helm, please prepare evasive maneuvers if needed.” He wanted to be prepared just in case it was not a first federation ship.

Tak quickly began to calculate evasive maneuvers, checking to make sure the maneuvering controls were ready to go.

As tactical ran the scans for identifying the ship they found that it indeed was a First Federation Flagship by the name of HMS Fesarius II.

“Blimey - never thought I’d see a First Federation ship up close!” Kyle let out a long whistle.

Tak continued to be ready for evasive maneuvers.

Fortunately no evasion was necessary as the comms sounded with a call from the First Federation ship.

“Put the call up on the screen, Lieutenant Anders.” T’Shura ordered.

Kyle tapped a control, “Aye Commander.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

T’Shura straightened her shoulders and faced the screen squarely as the video com came on. On screen was a typical looking human male in a First Federation uniform. The rank pips on his collar revealed he was probably a Commander.
He nodded to T’Shura in acknowledgement.=^=Good day, Commander. I am Commander Don Nobles, Commander of the First Federation Fleet in this sector. Thank you for your prompt response to our call. As I am sure you have been briefed, we have an old First Federation freighter from about 2101 that keeps appearing in this sector like a ghost. Our equipment is not advanced enough to triangulate for it or know how to bring it back into our time and space. We hope that you are capable of doing this for us.=^=
T’Shura nodded back and then waited and listened to the other Commander, “Yes, Commander that is what we have been informed of. I am sure with our Science department we can resolve this issue. Do you have any more detailed information of where the ship appeared and how long ago was the last sighting?”
Commander Nobles shook his head,=^=All we have is that it was in this sector and the last sighting was a week ago.=^=
“Thank you, Commander. Will you be remaining in this sector while we search?”
=^=Yes, Commander. If it is alright with you, we will shadow you in your search. My government would like us there to claim the Kringle once you are successful.=^=
“Understood, we will keep you apprised.” T’Shura said with another nod as the comms faded to black.

T’Shura turned in her chair to the Science station, “Ensign Tak, how would you suggest we attempt to scan for a ship that is moving in and out of space/time?”

“A wide-band scanning pattern, perhaps? If it is only present for a short period of time, our best chance would be to cover as much area as possible at each moment in time.”

OOC: My apologies, I could have sworn I answered this post.

T’Shura frowned in thought a moment, “A wide band, certainly but we need to detect a ship lost in a space/time disturbance. If it could be done with regular scans, I am sure the First Federation would have found it. Ensign, do a wide band scan using the temporal and spatial scanners. Concentrate on the coordinates that they gave us and spiral out from there.”

Tak nodded, and immediately began following T’Shura’s instructions.

It did take some time as the Ark Angel searched the area in a spiral grid pattern moving out from the last known coordinates but finally the science console beeped with the discovery of a higher area of tachyons.

Ciaran noticed the science station was going on and said, “Science, do we have any information about the scanning for tacyons?” He waited for a response. He was ready to see what oddities were occurring and knew they needed to get the ship back to normal space.

“Sir, we have something! High concentrations of Tachyons at the following coordinates!” Tak declared, then listed out the coordinates.

Ciaran then responded to the ensign, “Do we have any additional information on what the Tachyons might be? I am hoping it is the missing ship but we need to make sure before we take action. Please advise.” He then waited for a response and was already typing out orders for different departments with the hope of this being what they were expected. He then said, “Tactical, please raise yellow alert just on the off chance this is not the same ship we are expecting.” He wanted to be prepared for anything at this point.

“Clarification, are you requesting a definition of Tachyons, or a list of things that produce them?” Tak asked, glancing back at the Captain.

The First Federation ship came up behind the Ark Angel as they too waited to see what was found. If Ensign Tak checked on their status they would see that they too were trying to scan the area, but without the updated scanners that the AA had they would not find the tachyons.

“First Fed ship is following us move for move,” Kyle stated from the tactical console.

Ciaran looked over at the science officer and said, “Do we have a specific design that the tacyons appear as or a design Star-fleet has seen before?”.

He then heard Lt Anders say the first federation ship was following. He then said to Lt Anders, “Would their technology be where they would see the tachyons as well?”. He was curious to know if the First Federation would see the same thing they were seeing or not.

The First Federation did not have the same technological advancements as Starfleet in the matter of scanning equipment. There was also no set pattern to the displacement of the tachyons other then to suggest it could be caused by a ship.

“The First Federation ship lacks the advanced sensors that we have access to, they cannot detect what we are detecting. There are not any specifics in the tachyons, just a displacement that suggests that something is there.”

As Alex was finishing up his time in Engineering as Chief Engineer, he had then tapped his com badge. =/\= Engineering to Bridge. I am not sure what I can do down here in Engineering but I can transfer all engineering to a engineering computer up there on the Bridge. However, I’ll be on standby up there with ya’ll. =/\=

OOC; I’m not 100% sure what to do here but I’m going to try something.

=/\=Bridge to Engineering. This is Capt Donoghuei. I believe you are best down there in case something happens. No need to do everything up here. Does engineering have any past examples much of what we have found? I am curious to hear if its related to the missing ship or not but it might.=/\= Ciaran then continued to look at the computer in his arm rest to see if there are any additional details the Federation has in regards to the data which the ship was able to find while it scanned.
