Adam Turnkey

Born: 2365

Born to two Federation Diplomats in San Francisco, Earth, Adam grew up around the diplomatic corps. Both of his parents worked in the Federation Judiciary. His father was a judge and his mother taught Federation Law at Starfleet Academy and was on the treaty council within the Federation.

As a teenager, Adam would intern under different departments within the Federation but his parents warned him to stay away from Starfleet as they wanted him to be closer to home and follow their footsteps within Federation Legal. He quickly fell in love with logistics and took an internship with Starfleet Material Supply Command and this was his first time working with Starfleet. He picked up on the structure of Starfleet quickly and remained working with them until his 21st birthday.

He decided to apply to Starfleet over the objections of both of his parents. He excelled in operations and upon graduation, Admiral Cloister requested him at Material Supply.

He rose through the ranks and was soon Division Officer of ship building logistics as a Lt. Junior Grade.

Upon promotion to Lieutenant, he was transferred and served as a Starfleet Attache to the Federation Mining and Mineral Treaties and Diplomatic Corps.

He returned to Earth and took the Command Course at the Academy and was promoted to Lt Cmdr once graduated and was assigned XO of Logistics Division at the Utopia Shipyards. After a year in that role, he was assigned XO of the USS Viacom, NCC-91240 a Monolith Class Bulk Freighter. He served as XO until he was promoted to Commander and assigned XO, USS Ark Angel.

– MEDICAL INFORMATION –

The CMO on the USS Viacom once described Adam as “Medically uninteresting”. He was in shape and athletic. Once in a while he would have minor bruising and knee issues from spending time on the ice playing a game called Hockey.

– PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE –

As an only child, Adam Turnkey shows a drive to succeed and please those around him. He tends to prioritize the needs and wants of others to the point of ignoring his own needs.

Having grown up with two parents in the legal community, Adam shows a heightened understanding of legal nuances and can occasionally become obsessive in making sure everything is done in an precise, orderly and often regimented way. This has the benefit of being very efficient but, can cause issues with adapting to different ways of thinking or chaotic environments. He can adapt but, will struggle with reasons and default to textbook methods or, methods he is used to.

He is outgoing, bright and cheerful, often trying to find the most optimistic outlook to any situation and has been accused of blurring the lines of being too friendly with those under him. While struggling with these boundaries, Adam has never shown any issues with command and can separate the job and duty from personal friendships, often in a way that would appear to see his crew mates as two separate individuals.
