Hayley Marshall

Appearance: Hayley is a slim, athletic looking young women with large dark eyes and somewhat fae seeming features. Her hair is black, long, and usually kept up in a loose bun with tendrils escaping to frame her face. Her skin is very fair and slightly freckled.
History: Hayley was a born scholar in a family/community full of Earthbound artists in Bari, Italy. While they didn’t understand her, they accepted her and didn’t try to make her something she wasn’t. Despite that she did grow up feeling somewhat invisible as her scholarship was not something her family valued greatly.
Despite their differences, her big brother, Jacob, is her best friend. She admires him for his easygoing temperament and ability to be “who he is” despite what anyone else may think. Her father and mother are well known musicians, and her brother is a very well known fashion designer and “bespoke” tailor/dressmaker.
She loves the outdoors and animals and her hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, climbing, gardening, and other outdoor pursuits. She did consider Veterinary Medicine.
As a teen, she found a mentor in Dr. Jarod Rentz, semi-retired, and formerly of Star Fleet Medical. His study became her “safe place” and similar settings have a calming effect on her.
Her parents were quite shocked by her choice to join Star Fleet and eventually leave earth, her brother not so much as she shared more with him.
Temperament: Hayley can be somewhat serious and intense but does have a softer side. She internalizes quite a lot and can be very thoughtful and philosophical. She will choose deep conversation over small talk whenever possible. She loves scholarship of all kinds and admires it in others. She is easily bored and can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie at times.
Medical History: Minor old injuries related to her outdoor activities. Normally very healthy.
Education/Service Record:
BSc Biology with a minor in Psychology
MD Starfleet Medical School
Internship and Residency completed at Starfleet Medical specializing in Emergency Medicine
Assigned to the Ark Angel as an Ensign as a Medical Officer
While serving on the AA was promoted to Lt Jr Grade and CMO
Returned to Starfleet Medical to complete a three year Fellowship in Internal Medicine
