You will find that, even though he is not a commissioned officer, he knows more about these systems and their inter-relationships than almost anyone alive. Practical experience as opposed to school learning. You would do well to listen to him.”

“Lieutenant Hobbes is being generous,” Anang said holding up one hand in greeting. “It is my pleasure to welcome you to our team, sir.”

Kaden looked at the Chief and said, “Nice to meet you Anang. I look forward to learning as much as I can from you about engineering on this vessel as I can. I also look forward to working with you.” Kaden then looked over to Lt Hobbes and said, “How would you like me to begin?” Kaden awaited a response. He was excited to get started but knew there were items that have to be taken care of first.
