Demil quickly completed the requested tasks and made a ship-wide announcement that they were about to depart. He tapped through a few panels on the ops console and quietly contacted Luna’s combadge. =/\= “Ensign Luna, please report to the bridge.” =/\= “Done, sir,” Demil reported. “Helm is cleared for departure.”

Johnathan nodded his acknowledgement of Ensign Lis statement. “Helm take us out nice and steady” he ordered, still refusing to sit.

As Kaden was poking his head into the shaft to look at an item that seemed to have been making an odd noise, he heard the request from the captain for members of the ship to take up places on the bridge. He then walked over to the nearest table, then set his tools down. He looked up to see another ensign and indicated to them to look at the PADD sitting on the table and then walked out of Engineering. He then started making his way to the bridge. After a few minutes of riding the turbolift and walking, Kaden arrived at the Bridge. He walked into the door and walked over to the Engineering station on the bridge and then announced, “Ensign Buchanan reporting good at the engineering station. Awaiting further orders but everything I am looking at, is green”

With everything given the Ark Angel smoothly was freed from the docking clamps of Starbase 243’s docking station and was soon maneuvering under their own power. The NE at helm then inquired as they cleared for warp travel, “..Course set for J17, ETA at warp 6, 4 days 9 hours..” She said.

Once the order was given then the Ark Angel smoothly leapt to warp. So far things were smooth sailing as they could be....

Ensign Buchanan was doing a scan of the engineering systems from the engineering station. He wanted to make sure all the systems in place and working as expected. He always worried about the warp engine being out of sync.

Buchanan’s checks of the engineering systems all came back in the green, they were at the expected specifications, or in some cases had been streamlined to get more performance or endurance out of the systems by current or past crew. The only real upcoming issue, if you could call it that, was the replicators on deck 38 had to have their monthly purging by the waste management staff on the ship in engineering. This was due in another 2-3 days. Really though it would likely get assigned to some poor NE.

Johnathan began to pace back and forth in front of the command chair. Everything is going okay so far, with the exception of Ensign Luna. What the hell was he going to do about her not being on the bridge? Should he notify command staff? No, best not to interrupt them during their briefing as everything is running smoothly at this point. I can always inform them once they arrive back on the bridge, I did after all ask for her to be summoned to the bridge. Johnathan thought to himself as he paced.

OOC: So since Luna’s player is LOA atm with life, just let her PC not showing up slide into the abyss, just assume she did :)

As the ship continued merrily on its way to system J17, the minutes began to tick by. NE Bryan over at one of the rear auxiliary stations noticed Johnathan’s pacing. “..Uh sir? Just a bit of a suggestion. I know you’re new to that center chair, but it is quite comfortable you know. It also gives you an air of calm and confidence when you sit in it, instead of pacing around, which makes us nervous..” He said, then once Johnathan looked in his direction he winked, showing he and other NE’s weren’t nervous really just trying to help him out.

For now it seems the various NEs and Ensigns were in charge of the ship till the senior staff returned from their briefing. They could do some basic scans of the region on their route ahead. Or even look up what this J17 system had in store for them while they waited.
