This is just a general question for all candidates, both those in currently and those who may run between now and the end of the nomination period.

Assume I am a new member who joined let’s say 2 months ago and am currently on one ship in the Academy. (I believe that two months is enough time to qualify this hypothetical new member to be involved as a voter/nominator/endorser/etc in the election.) This member has decided to vote in this election, but has no idea who anyone is in the club outside of those on their Academy ship, and no one running in this election is on their ship, that is, they know none of you from a bar of soap.

Could you share a bit about yourselves such as
1 where in the world you are from,
2 what role/s you currently play/perform in the club,
3 your favourite and least favourite roles in the club,
4 why you joined the club,
5 why you’ve stayed in the club for as long as you have been here, and
6 advice for a new role player to help them in their role playing,

This is to help this hypothetical new member get to know about you and the club.

So I’m from Queensland Australia though I currently live in Melbourne. I’ve moved around alot due to work and life so that is why I distinguish between the two.

Currently I rp as a lowly Ensign on the Olympic and I help out as a member of the TECH board.

For me I enjoy the characters rather then the roles. I’ve played practically everything over the last 15 years. But I don’t like medical as a occupation. Trek medicine just bounces off my brain for some reason.

I joined back in 2003 as a way to fill in the time in the computer class I was doing. I took and passed the tests at the start but still had to finish out the hours and needed something to do in class.

Why did I stay well I didn’t for all those 15 years I had a couple of year break in the middle but stf has meant different things to me at different stages in my life and I enjoy creating something.

Advice…oh hurm. Invest a part of you in every character. If nothing is true then it’s just a clever lie and weakness can be more interesting then strength :)
