Michael was born in Los Angeles, but raised in San Francisco, not far from the Starfleet Shipyards. His father was a civilian mechanical engineer and designer who strongly disapproved of Michael joining Starfleet. When his father died in a shuttle crash, he was left a considerable sum of money. He keeps this a secret to the best of his ability.

Medical-
Michael has a history of pain in his joints from early onset arthritis. He hides the pain well and functions normally with access to daily medication.

All of Michael’s evaluations are significant for easily triggered anxiety, and his family has a lengthy history of mental illness.
