Lazol is a short wrinkled old Ferengi who enjoys dressing flamboyantly, especially the color of golden yellow, just like gold pressed latinum.

Personality

He’s a powerful Ferengi merchant within the Alliance who came to his fortune selling objects and anomalies to the highest bidder. That is the public knowledge. The private knowledge (found through contacts high in the Alliance’s intel circles) is that he has ben placed on a watch list with nearly every government for his unorthodox methods of procuring and selling his goods, and that within the Alliance he is seen as an outcast, seeking to understand and research the anomalies before he sells them. He did much of this work on his own and has been injured many times by the anomalies. He doesn’t prize wealth above all else he sees it as a way to further his ability to research and understand. He wants to seek understanding first and it’s caused issues with creditors in the past because of his refusal to just turn around and sell something he procured.

Lazol, DiaMon of his own ship, an old Klingon K’tinga painted in Ferengi orange and outfited on the inside with the latest technology named The 92 (named so after his favorite rule of acquisition) had been a unique Ferengi when it comes to his people as he was a man always drawn by science and learning. Now don’t let that pursuit fool you Lazol is a Ferengi as they come but given his aptitude for intelligent purposes, as well as a few well placed bribes to those that regular Ferengi society would pay no heed, he learned early on about the ARU and exactly what they find. He buttered up some scientists and spent a pretty penny getting his hands on some tips throughout the quadrant and began to not only find and capture these anomalies but sell them for sums of money that the Grand Nagus could only dream of. During a routine investigation he found out about DaiMon Olash and his findings regarding Andromeda’s Tomb. Setting up a meeting with his ‘fellow DaiMon’ Lazol bribed and coerced his way to learning everything his opponent knew about these ‘anomalies’. But specifically he learned everything he could about the ship that Olash had been working with. Lazol then worked his connections and contacts to set up meetings with those who didn’t exist, the ARU top brass. His goal was simple. Spend enough latinum to obtain the position of CSO, and thus head of the entire division, onboard the USS Leviathan.
