Clifford Morris

Morris was born in Glasgow to two Star Fleet officers who died in an attack from a Klingon War Ship. His Aunt Maureen raised Morris after his parents were killed. She had never had a favorable opinion of Star Fleet, especially after her brother and sister-in-law were killed. She attempted to steer Morris away from Star Fleet, having grown very attached to him, and steered him more towards academics. Though he attended Oxford at his Aunt’s insistence, he had always wanted to be in Star Fleet like his parents. He studied anthropology and xenoanthropology, learning to speak several languages including Vulcan and some Klingon, when able. After graduation, he enlisted with Starfleet despite his Aunt’s protests. A skilled fencer and martial artist, he studied Historic European Martial Arts, focusing on Broadsword and Rapier within manuals such as Lichtenhauer and Fiore, as well as Tae Kwon Do from North Korea, Aikido and Iaido from Japan, and has even begun studying the Klingon Bat’Leth (this last mostly from reports from those who had survived encounters with them).
