Thomas Shawe

Shawe was a man who from a young age was always curious in technology. How it could be used, how it could be effective, and what happens when things go wrong with it. As a result, he ended up serving the Terran Empire as an Engineer. The Chief Engineer on his first posting, the ISS Hellcat, was a taskmaster. If Shawe didn’t get anything done in half the time he said, he would spend his predicted time in an agonizer booth, once the repairs were complete, of course.

As a result, he hardened himself, and eventually trapped the previous chief engineer into the agonizer booth that had been used to torment him for so long, and turned it to full power. He was always warned not to do that as he saw the results of the agonizer booth overheating in mid-use. The chief engineer didn’t survive. As a result, he took the place of chief engineer on the Hellcat, which not long after got decomissioned, when he was transferred to be the chief engineer on a new vessel, the ISS Cerberus.
