Portable Agony - Part IV
If the Tellarite was capable of screaming, it was almost garaunteed to be happening. Shawe had placed the prototype phaser at the crook of his back, the tellarite wondering if he was going to be shot in the back while strapped to the table. The cold metal edge pressing against the crook in his spine, Shawe let off a small charge. The pain was so excruciating that anything that tried to come out of his mouth was dried away before it even reached his vocal chords. The burst was short and lasted no longer than a second, but it felt like a day in the booth. Shawe had him tied down in the medical bay as he began his first test of the prototype.
“You see, this is the fifth time you’ve made the same mistake. So it makes sense that you take it at the 5th setting. One more and it’s at it’s current maximum,” Shawe said close to the restrained Tellarite. He didn’t care for the name, he was just a test subject at this point. “And so, thanks to your incompetence, you get to act as the first one to test my new toy,” he said with a smile, looking towards the medical screens that was measuring the Tellarite’s vital signs. “So dying will just add to your pitiful list of failures that seems to be ever growing,” he continued.
Looking over the sensor readings, there was some more damage done that was originally intended, but the doctor reassured him that no permemant damage had been done. “Good enough. Now, let us continue with the testing. We need to see if this matches the same setting as the booth. Get him in a booth and we’ll see where this sits on the actual scale,” he said to one of the doctors. As the test subject was whisked away, he put the modified phaser back on his belt, and whistled as he made his way back to Main Engineering.
Lieutenant (J.G) Thomas Shawe, CE (OOC: For both Chief Engineer, and it seems Chaotic Evil.... hehehe)
