This he had a bit more confidence going into, as part of his duties at the helm was to handle communications. He ran a systems diagnostics and found power loss levels in multiple transmitters. Going to the hardware itself, he found several frayed wires and a lot of dirt within the housings. “Janitor it is.” he said and began cleaning and repairing. After about an hour, he went back and ran another diagnostic. Full power, all systems were green. He decided to test it out.

Oh also… there is a confirmed problem with Orion and Naussican pirates in the area. [O] he added.

[O] Understood, we’ll get to finding the most intact pieces and tow them to a stable orbit, we’ll also begin scans up here for any pirate activity in system or without. We figured their attitudes to Starfleet and the former Coalition would be bitter at best. But the fact remains we’re here to help if they want it. Did the Commander offer the supplies we got up here on the drone ships yet? [C] he asked
