The Major just arrived and headed to the CO’s office. He was sure that he would like to know his COS is back He pressed the chime on the door, waiting for the word to go in.

Major Tyrell Decker, COS

“Yeah.” came the response from beyond and the door slid open. Stout looked up, paused in his review of a report, and leaned back in his chair and crossed his hands on his stomach. “Well, well, well… Major Decker, as I live and breathe. What brings you to my office today?” he asked, and edge to his voice to indicate that he wasn’t in the best of moods.

“Sir, just wanted to report I was back on board. I wont take up your time.”

Decker said at attention.

Tyrell Decker COS

Stout grinned like a cat with canary caught in cage. “Oh, no… by all means, Major. Take up my time, and have a seat.” and he indicated a chair in front of his desk.

“So… what the hell happened to you Major? One minute you were here, next… ‘poof’ like a fart in an airlock. Is this something I am need to expect going forward, Major?”

Decker nodded and took a seat. It’s weird that the CO did not know he was leaving. He was sure he was told that everyone should be informed. “Sorry sir, it should not happen again. I was ordered by a Star Fleet Admiral to leave and deliberate an incident on Riza IV. With my Legal background and all, they thought it was necessary, since I was the closest person to Riza. I am surprised they did not inform you of that. I was told I was to drop everything and leave. No questions asked. They said they would inform you, guess that didnt happen.”
